This has always been an option even now, thats still costs more than people can afford and they abandon the body =/
Cremation and internment in an urn has always been an option
Government 2500 benefit covers it.
That was true 10-15 years ago.
My father passed away a month ago. The cheapest cremation we could find - in a cardboard box and the ashes in a cardboard tube cost us $4400.
My grandfather passed away in 2021 - also cost us about $4200. We thought it was covid surge pricing.
Wife passed 2 years ago ,2500 covered everything, depends on where you go i guess
So somebody who died in the GTA is supposed to have their family go scour the entire province/country for cheaper cremation options?
That's reasonable to you?
I live an hour from Toronto so yes.
Everyone thinks they live an hour from Toronto. Even the ones in Sudbury.
