Perfect. Get some lower wattage bulbs, or night time orange glow bulbs to really amp up the coziness in there. Himalayan Salt Lamps are also wonderful for that soft glow. You won’t be disappointed!
Believe it or not, where the far right shelves are used to be a closet door and that entire shelf is on a hinge so you can pull it out to get to the closet. It's pretty fun, but anticlimactic haha!
I believe, messy is often misconstrued as something “bad”. In this case, it’s a beautiful mess. The mess gave a character to the bookshelf. This is how I’d want mine to look like!
I’m more of a minimalist, but your bookshelves and their color, the plants and few trinkets make it feel so cozy and welcoming to me. I’d love to cuddle up in front of it in a cozy chair and read. Seems like the lighting is good too!

I LOVE the shelves and LOVE the color. The staggered and inconsistent spacing in each column is especially cool. That being said, I think a decluttering may be due to really make the shelf construction pop.
I think the lighting actually makes it look bad, if you did low warm lighting from lamps instead of bright overhead lighting it will make it look more cozy and less all over the place
Me too! You can't tell from this, but the whole room is the same color. I thought it would look a little too uniform, but I love how it turned out. The shelves are all custom built, though we played with the idea of just getting pre-made units.
Gorgeous shelves but I can’t help feeling robbed of it’s potential in terms of display. I wish to see the shelves more organized and less stacked. Nonetheless beautiful shelves and books collection.
Both eclectic and messy. I love it!
