If you do this make sure the filament used is at least pla+. Pla warps and becomes damaged when used for long periods outside, mainly due to the temperature variances. Pla+ has extra things in it (varies by brand) and is much more durable.

I printed one of these in a marble textured filament and it looks really nice. Usually on prints you'll get "layer lines" (hard to explain, just google it) but a nice textured filament kinda hides them and makes it look less like plastic from a distance.

I did put a post up in my local facebook group, I also offered a cash reward for anyone that can give any information. I live in a fairly small town so it would be noticeable if any me came home with one all of a sudden way after you can’t buy them anymore. It’s really upsetting that someone would do that, especially the effort they had to go to just to get to the gnome. I tell you they are damn lucky I didn’t catch them in the act! Stealing from me is one thing but stealing from a child just makes me so angry!

Hammerbarn in Bluey is based off the Bunnings franchise here in Australia and New Zealand. It’s got a very similar hammer logo (hence, Hammerbarn) and things on the show like a sausage sizzle (bbq sausages in bread) at the front for a local charity really is a thing here. it’s a bit of an inside joke in the series, I guess. Since the age of 2, my now 4 year old sees the Bunnings logo as we drive past and yells out “Hammerbarn!” So it really is that similar/recognisable.

Pretty much everywhere shown in Bluey are genuine locations or stores, schools etc, a very few are amalgams, but almost everything is identifiable.

Hammerbarn (Bunnings Warehouse) is basically a chain of hardware stores in Australia and New Zealand. Their logo is a hammer. They rebranded some stores during February as a colab and sold Bluey stuff including Hecuba but they sold out really fast which is likely why OPs got stolen (I missed out but apparently they are going to release more).

It was stolen as these sold out on the first day and people are selling them on ebay for $100+.

We have kangaroos and fox’s in my neighbourhood but that’s why we have a fenced front yard. It wasn’t an animal, well it was a type of animal just not the 4 legged variety. It was some low life dog with bum worms that either stole it for their kid or to sell online. You cannot get them anymore and it was hard to even get one so they are selling online for up to $200 each and a set of 4 costs even more. A set sold for $1500 not long ago. I didn’t even consider not having it in the front garden under my daughter’s window because I live in a smallish town where crime is almost non existent. We don’t even lock our doors or close our windows when we go out so imagine my shock when we came home to the gnome missing. They are bloody lucky I didn’t catch them in that act that’s for sure
