Hi all, I was stationed in Germany for a couple years and hefeweizens over there just completely ruined all other beer for me. I've been back stateside for a few years now and there is a hefeweizen that I used to drink out there that I just can't quite remember what it was called. It's very possible I may have never even known the name of it while out there as I always got it from the same small mom and pop shop out there. It was an extremely clovey/banana forward hefeweizen. I can say with absolute certainty that it was not any of the major brands that I can find in TX. These include: Weihenstephaner, Paulaner, Erdinger, Franziskaner, it definitely wasn't an American knock off over there.

The only other major brand I can think of would be Ayinger but I've never seen that in TX.

At this point I'm thinking it was some local brew or something but maybe y'all can help me out. Any suggestions?
