For a long time, I thought Reddit was safe from the general Bangladeshi Facebook types, but it looks like they have r/Dhaka now. I'm not denying that this sub can get bigoted, but at least the mods here can take care of them. That subreddit feels so unmoderated and like a right-wing, misogynistic hellhole.

There was a post of a girl venting about her experience as a woman, and the whole comment section was dismissive of her. The amount of misogyny I see there is astounding.

If you share any bad experience of yours as a Hindu or any other minority group, they won't even acknowledge it and will defend it with whataboutism. If any subreddit is a parallel of r/Dhaka, it's r/Indiaspeaks and other indian right wing subreddits.

I'm trying to find a source for T-Shirt printing locally, preferably DTF printing and a place that has a good collection of t-shirt colors and of good quality.

I want to know which Colleges should I choose. I have a special case where if I get into one of the the best colleges in dhaka i would get to stay in Dhaka or else i would have to go to a college in Khulna.

1. Is it true that I at most can choose 10 colleges, 5 per thana?

2. What are the best 5 colleges in Dhaka and Khulna?

3. Which colleges require admission tests in Dhaka?

4. What materials should i study for admission tests. especially in the general knowledge/history category?

(mind you, im excluding the ones who did shit on ssc because of situations they couldn't control. im talking about those living in the suburbs with every single opportunity they had yet they didnt use it and they're complaining about it.)

everywhere i look at within the internet-virtual range of all ssc examinees, i see this one thing and one thing only: "exam e gu korsi ekhon ki korbo" and go full hotash 'i should just kys' mode. now this is what will piss people off, bhai 90% bd people on the internet (specifically this subreddit) are rich asf and prolly just spend 1 minute on studying and the entire day on un-studying. now here's the thing: yall dont study = dont give a shit about bd jobs and just wanna flee from this place, so WHY even bother being sad over that <5 gpa? i get it yall have families going nuts but heres another thing that'll piss off these high-key prodigies, if you knew that your fam ought to go nuts over that shit result, you should've felt AT LEAST a bit of pressure on actually doing well and actually studying because personally speaking if you OR your family actually cared, you would've done honestly better. now i shouldn't be saying harsh asf shi to those people but if these guys were to complain just like that, i think they should've known what was coming to them before complaining.

my main point is instead of these people just crying that they did shit because of their own laziness, maybe they should try to improve. if they had jotheshto environmental pressure on them they would've done automatically better. once again i aint talking bout those in a situation they cant control, for example, a family problem or a sickness, im talking shit about the once who were just simply lazy

i think 90% is rich in here because lets just be honest, reddit is somewhat of a place of westernized whitewashed bangladeshis. you wouldnt find usual jamal bhai with a fb acc on reddit but youd find a militaonikatitita on reddit. and if you ask me (or anyone in general), middle class families' kids arent usually that whitewashed with an iphone but middle-rich to rich to rich asf are in that category .

Recently an acquaintance lost his German Residence permit card. Now, he's pretty much screwed because the German embassy isn't responding to his application for a replacement document, after he submitted his passport and other relevant documents.

This is not a new behaviour from the German Embassy of Dhaka. They have been pretty much next to dead since the corona times. Now it takes about 2-3 years for guys who live in Germany and want to bring their wives through family reunion visas. It's not just Germany who behaves with total apathy towards Bangladesh. It's also with other countries like Turkey, who makes it very difficult for people to get tourist or family visas despite showing very valid documents and more than adequate financial capabilities.

Even India is really hostile with regards to giving visas to Bangladeshi people. It's just common with every country. No country seem to think Bangladesh in a positive light and give any importance at all.

Why is that so? Is it only because Bangladesh is truly a shithole like Pakistan or any extremely poor African country, despite whatever BAL politicians like to claim?

Video Baba Production was a popular YouTube channel for skits back then during the 2016-2020. The channel first posted in 2015, started uploading frequently from 2016, reached their peak views in 2018 with "Deshbashito", a Despacito parody with political satire, besides other song parodies and skits. In late 2019 to 2020, they posted modest amount of videos, but not as much as before. But they posted about 5 videos in 2 years (2021-22) and finally stopped uploading altogether in 2022, 2 years ago. Y'all remember this channel? Any idea why they stopped uploading? Missing those skits very badly :(

1. What are the board options and which one is most common for A-Level?
2. Is there a Cambridge board in Bangladesh for A-Levels?
3. What is the cost to study for A-Levels in Bangladesh? A range would work fine.
4. How long is A-Levels in Bangladesh? 15 months? 18 Months? 24 Months?
5. Could you please share some instituition names that offers the A-Level course in Bangladesh? thanks!
6. How much is the exam fees for science subjects(Bio/chem/phy) to British Council?
7. Can I take the AS-Level and A2-Level exams as a private candidate? Basically, study by myself and then attempt the exams.

I'm really disappointed with my handwriting, especially during my term finals. Despite studying in an Honors program, my handwriting remains a significant issue. Each term, I consistently receive low marks due to its poor quality. Hoping to address this problem, I dedicated myself to practicing diligently this term, believing that my efforts would yield improvement. Encouragingly, my handwriting appeared to be better during practice sessions. However, during the exam today, it reverted to its previous poor state, reminiscent of past term finals. Despite my relentless efforts, I can't seem to overcome this obstacle. In the past, I would practice for a few days before exams, despite having poor handwriting in school and college. Nevertheless, even with extensive practice this time, there has been no noticeable improvement. It's disheartening to put in so much effort only to see my handwriting remain a hindrance. Is there a way to overcome this problem? I am feeling very low on myself.

So I got my SSC result today. Got 4.9 but my parents are so unhappy they are trying to get me enrolled in a madrasa. My dad has been trying to make me a hafiz for quite some time already(I've always said no) but now I feel like he's using this to force me. He saying that they will challenge board and if I don't get a 5 afterwards, I should take SSC again next year because he thinks if I don't get a 5, I will never have a chance to get into a good university or a job. So the best thing to do is sit for the papers I messed up and get a better result. I know he's trying to manipulate me but I don't know how to stop him. He even told me to not talk to anyone about my results because they are disappointed in me. I am not even allowed to tell my siblings what happened. I don't want to waste a year of my life over 0.1 GPA.

UPDATE: My brother has managed to convince my dad to not waste my time yippieee.

I am (27M) trying to lose some weight. But, every time I start my exercise routine after 1/2 day I feel extremely angry and depressed without any reason. I am just sad and depressed all the time and for no particular reason also feel extreme anger. Then when I stop my exercise routine, slowly everything becomes normal again. I tried to dial down the workout a little bit but got the same result.

Does anyone else here have a similar experience? Should I consider a doctor?

as you know, 12th may or yesterday was the ssc results. I dont mean to sound arrogant but i deserved a gpa 5.00. i got a 4.83. All of my classmates of my calibre or even students who normally score lower than me got better results than me. i missed out on the 5 just by bit (1-3 marks on few subjects). i am thinking about board challenging, even though i have accepted my results and have learned to just go along. But if its mostly useless then i prefer not to because i dont want my hopes to be shattered twice. If you guys think there is a good chance, then please let me know. thank you

UPDATE : just submitted my board challenge. thank you everyone for the informative comments, it really helped me to make the decision. i dont have high hopes for this, its just a safe gamble. pray4me

Hi there! I am trying to learn Bangla for my Bangladeshi boyfriend (future husband) but I don't know where to start. He normally translates stuff for me, but we are long distance for a few months as I had to visit my home country for a while (Pakistan🫣) and I want to surprise him when we meet again.

I am really fluent in Urdu and Hindi both so I can pick up some things he says, but I want to be better. My grandfather is Bangladeshi, but he has a different dialect and his Bangla sounds more traditional and hard for me so that hasn't been helpful as my boyfriend is from Dhaka.

My focus is more on speaking and understanding spoken Bangla rather than learning how to read and write. So I wanted to know how I can start, what resources I can use?

I got 4.44 ( science) in ssc and I need suggestion about which college i should go to . I live in banani. I am really helpless. I am a female

So I studied science in SSC and my result was also good. But for some reason I took commerce in HSC. And slowly slowly I’m starting to regret my decision. Is studying commerce really worth it? Can I really have a good career with a business degree? Can I choose any technological related subject in university? I do have plans to settle down in abroad after bachelor’s. But I don’t know.. I’ve lost all my motivations to study business. I don’t really know what to do anymore.. please tell me if your journey was as same as mine. Or what can I do to help myself?
