Instant noodles and bacon
WildernessThat looks SO delicious. Now I’m looking at bringing bacon bits (the real bacon) to mix in all of my trail meals.
There's precooked shelf stable bacon slices in the bacon section of the grocery store. They may have placed it the refrigerated section for simplicity but if you read the package, it doesn't need to be.
Shelf stable dry cured bacon is a backpacking game changer. I also add peanut butter into the noodles to change it up.
Sound like a good idea, I will try it next adventure.
Is that boiled bacon I see or was it fried?
Fried, mate.

shelf stable bacon... that does sound game changing!
"YOU DON'T TEAR UP YOUR BACON!!? You savage."
I've heard many nutrition experts say that instant noodles are unhealthy. However, they're simple to cook outdoors and taste great with bacon. Interestingly, I've also heard that instant noodles are even on the national banquet list in South Korea.
