Looking for critiques and suggestions for my rough Peru path
TravelHuacachina, desert oasis on the way to Nazca.
Ollantaytambo is cool, lot of ruins and hikes. I think the hike we did was called Sun Gate.
Not sure if you have a car or if you're outdoorsy but we backpacked around Auzangate for 4 days and it was a highlight of our 3 month trip. It's a couple hours from Cusco. Off the beaten path and you don't need a guide.
You could also go down to the Amazon to Puerto Maldonado.
I would prioritize the smaller corners of Peru. The nature is incredible
Please remember to post a short paragraph as a comment in the post explaining your photo or link. Ideally at least 150 characters with trip details. Tell us something about your trip. How long did it take to get there? How did you get there? How was the weather that day? Would you go back again?
Submitted content should be of high-quality. Low effort posting of very general information is not useful. If you don't add a short explanation in the comments, your post may be removed.
No information posted? Please report low-effort posts if there is still nothing after about 30 minutes.

Flying into Piura near the end of the month and am going to do over land travel over the course of 7 weeks to bolivia.
Would love to know if I'm leaving anything out. Suggestions for these places. Hostels, how many nights, hikes, treks, adventures.
I much prefer mountains and cool weather vs the beach.
