Yeah, the Wenger Giant was just a marketing tool that could also be sold off to collectors. It got people talking (we're still talking about it) and it showed off a lot of the tools you could choose from in their smaller models if you wanted to buy one of those. You sometimes saw these behind glass at knife stores, and in magazines just to remind people how cool Wenger was.
It would be cool if you could untwist normal sized sections
That would be so cool! I've seen that done for hobo knives that split into two sections, and I can kind of picture a few ways that you could expand on that for something like this. For structural reasons I think each disconnect point would have to be steel, and slightly thicker than the usual aluminum liners. You'd also need to double up the liners so that there's one for each side when you split it apart, so that's two seel liners for every twist-off point that used to be just one aluminum liner. So there's size and weight considerations to be made, you might only want a few places to untwist. Maybe like 8 roughly Swisschamp-sized blocks that click together.
They can come up with some sort of twist lock clip that locks in place but is thin, it's not like this thing is usable as it is...
It's actually genius because you get to twist it like a wheel. Torque would be insane, no screw would be safe from you
If you torque the torque you gotta walque the walque
I accidentally left this in my pocket when I washed my jeans and when I came back, my entire washing machine had been disassembled.
Does it come with a belt clip?
Bandolier
This isn’t everyone’s EDC?
This is hilarious. I’d totally buy this for a white elephant or something.
and you wonder like wenger got bought out by Victorinox
don't think you really meant to use it but just collect it
