Hello, I'm a 21 year old autistic guy that recently quit working in food service. I've had 3 separate jobs (McDonald's, Panera Bread, and Starbucks) and I truly cannot see myself working in food service ever again, dealing with shitty customers (and coworkers) has caused a great deal of stress. I am currently looking for a new job and am wondering if there are any suggestions for autistic-friendly jobs that don't require a degree and involve minimal customer interaction/minimal social interaction in general. I'm taking a medical coding course and that is ultimately the career I want to pursue, but I won't be done with the course for awhile nor will I be certified anytime soon so that's not an option right now. I considered becoming a pharmacy technician since it's also a healthcare job but I've heard from many people that it's very stressful. If it helps at all, my special interest is birds and in terms of skills, I'm a very fast typer. I would love to work a remote job since I don't drive but all the remote jobs I've applied for (mostly data entry) have been scams. Thanks in advance.
