Does anyone act childish and refuse to act their age?

You are acting your age though, you are "showing off" just like other adults. "Look at me how cool kiddo I am" is no different than someone showing off their expensive watch.

There are times where I feel I physically can’t act my age and am too burnt out to do anything.

I do all the time...I'm 38, and I often get my bf to grab me snacks like dino nuggies, smiley fries etc...i love toys and games and I've been putting off buying some cool ass Barbie's to play with cus I figured he would find it weird...he brought up that he plays with Lego, collect Warhammer 40k stuff and puts stickers on EVERYTHING (like a 16yr old girl lol) who cares what people think. Do what makes you happy! Act the way you want, if it makes you happy!! (I also LOVE squishmallows)

Yes! Being an adult is so boring! We have one life, and I'm not wasting my life being all boring and drab and "adult". I love cute things, and I don't care what people say. I can be cringe, but when I look back, I'm like, "Hey, I was happy then, and that's all that matters." Even though society expects me to have my crap together, I won't. For a while, at least. I've also kinda stopped caring how some people see me. If my cute things bother you, I don't care.

Yes!! I am a 19 year old man, I eat dino nuggets often, drink chocolate milk every day, collect Lego sets, watch cartoons like SpongeBob, Bluey, and Gravity Falls, I sleep with stuffed animals, play Minecraft and Roblox nearly every day, and I age regress and have a boyfriend that likes taking care of me. I also work full-time at Walmart, and I'm doing college work as well.

Yes I do. I feel like I'm in the same boat. I like to repeat Spongebob or Family Guy jokes in public and those that don't watch or don't like the show think I'm wierd as they don't get the reference.

I like to play video games and live in my visionary world, but people probably think I'm wierd for that too. But I feel like being an adult is all work no play too. People criticize me for being myself, but that's what I find enjoyable.

I say this: You can feed your inner child as much as you want, but don't let it get in the way of progressing in life. And sometimes I like to try to find new enjoyable things so I am not too stuck in the past

My 19 year old sister does this although much of it is not on purpose. She'd bring us all to be a child again - she loves The Owl House, I watch most of it with her. Her favorite backpack is a Hooty plushie backpack we bought at a comic con. My partner plays kiddie games like hide and seek and catch all the time, and my friends and colleagues would rarely ever miss an opportunity to play with her when they're around as well. I suppose we all still have that child inside us, it's just hard to let them out as we grow. My sister does a great job in bringing them out.

I am 66. In three days, I am leaving for an 8 day wilderness boat camping trip in the backcountry of Everglades National Park. Might go alone or with a friend. The friend is supposed to tell me tomorrow if he's going to be able to go. I actually prefer to camp alone, but my family gets paranoid about me being out alone like that.

This is very primitive camping. You have to take everything you need (except if you catch some fish out there). All the water is brackish or salty, so you need to bring all your water also. There is no handy store or gas station once you get out there. Like Gilligan's Island, it's primitive as can be.

People think 66 years is too old to do this kind of thing. I really don't care. I enjoy it, so I do it. If it is not acting my age, oh well.

Not on purpose, but I tend to be more childish than other people my age. At least I think I am? I don’t know how most people act outside of social situations, so they might be just as childish as me, but in private.

I started collecting doctor who toys and was desperate to play with them lucky I have a niece and so we play with them together, my niece is two and doesn’t even think I’m an adult my sister told her I was an adult and she said no she’s 3 😂I think my brain is still quite a bit younger than my actual age of 20 but I enjoy toys I still love walking down the toy aisle when I’m with my niece and I look at stuff and buy her what I think would be fun to play with and often end up playing with them with her

I love spending Saturday mornings eating a big bowl of sugary cereal and watching cartoons

I sleep with plushies and most of the time wear comfy clothes. Business casual can go to mfing hell

The other day the sun was out so I went to the driveway and colored with chalk

I'm trying to recover other modes of play that I used to enjoy before I cut everything out trying to be an aDuLt and burned out immediately cuz I lost all my dopamine

Kinda. I collect Star Wars action figures and play video games. I even sometimes go through the toy section of stores to see if they have anything I can add to my collection. Also I’m unable to drive and get a drivers license and I gave up trying years ago

I love your energy and hope to have it someday lol. I used to be this way when I was a kid, then I was forced to learn to mask. Now I even mask at home with my fiance, even though I know he is a safe place to let my mask go.

I'm the opposite. I stopped playing around 9 and replaced that with creative writing/watching TV, listening to music. I do like to watch the show Bluey though (which is about child development and parenting.)

At times, yes. I've only had my diagnosis for around six months and have masked since before I remember, but I love shark plushies and I got a frog Squishmallow and a shark Squishmallow from two friends, it makes me super happy.

I also still have my comfort teddy bear that I got for my 6th birthday (I'm 20) and I will most likely only give it to my future kid(s), I will never throw her away! My best friend got me a white shirt with a dinosaur that is rainbow and I love it! I also have dinosaur slippers that I showed off for, like, 2 days to my family because they make me so happy

I love your energy, you must be very fun to be around! I wish I could have that kind of confidence in public. I don't feel like my age, I'm 20 but feel like I did at 14 still. I love shit like Legos, gaming, kids shows, and playing at parks, especially the swings! But as a kid, I was actually the opposite, "mature for my age", more intellectual, and such. Sometimes I think I'm this way now to make up for my childhood.
