It's just for pure knowledge, I am a proud Assamese as well a proud native speaker but I do want to know about my caste as well.
Just out of curiosity, Kaibarta Caste had a distinct language of their own according to some sources.Does anyone have come across any traces of it?

I've read many articles, many of them stated the modern axomiya language comes from Kaibarttas. Kaibarttas have assimilated with the assamese society so much that they don't have anything to claim as their own. Again, I am not claiming 100% but that assimilation part is 1000% true. Almost every caste/class has something they can claim here apart from kaibarttas and Kalitas.
