How much money do you need to earn in dollars in a nice city of your country to live comfortably?
EconomyLol that’s a lot of comfort indeed
I was joking, 250k master race taquero common inside joke in Mexican reddit.
15k USD monthly at least.
Can people even afford food with anything less?!
In Buenos Aires, around 1500-2000 USD per month for a single person, renting a 1bdr or studio apartment in a nice area.
Around 1400 US dollars a month in Medellín, Colombia.
Hey Parce shh, more like 7000 usd to live in Medellin. Sorry but if you want to live in paradise you gotta pay.
I have always lived in low-middle class neighborhoods, my estimate of 1400 USD a month aims to living in some half-middle class neighborhood (which I find comfortable)
Hah bro why are you so pendejo. That's why Medellin is full of gringos.
Your not wrong about that $7K monthly income, they are charging $2K rents in El Poblado and over $1.5K in Laureles idk how the average paisa can afford it? You are right if you want to live in the city of eternal spring you have to pay for it! Same goes for California and that’s why people are leaving that state.
idk how the average paisa can afford it.
The AVERAGE person from Medellín does not live in El Poblado. Only a slim minority can afford to live there.
First of all, why do you use that so-mexican (and also disrespectful) way to talk to me?
Second, it's not my fault (nor the fault of any of us locals to Medellín) that I have never had enough income to "match up" pigskin expectations such as yours.
Quebrate galleta
2000 USD would be enough
If you move to the smallest cities in the countryside of São Paulo, you’d probably be able to live well with half of that or even a little bit less. Most people in these places live off with just a bit above minimum age.
Op said "a nice city" tho
yah, true lmao
Around 2.000 USD monthly
Panama City, starting on 4k
That depends on whether you own things like a house. If you do you can live quite comfortably with as little as like $300 monthly, property taxes can be very affordable almost irrelevant. If you don't you'll need about a $1000 just to rent a tiny apartment and feed yourself. If you like unnecessary and stupid luxury you could easily multiply that x10. Plenty of houses in Mexico City where just the monthly rent is between $5-10k.
1k should be enough for a comfortable life, for just one person tho.
In Santiago, I'd say around the 2.5k USD/month mark, for a single person, living alone.
A little lower per capita for a couple.
Around $1.2-$1.5k USD monthly in Santo Domingo to live, save, and occasionally travel as a single person.
500 USD for basic rent in Buenos Aires, for something decent, think 1k plus for a family of three, 800 for one or two people. Add about 300 to 500 USD in food/groceries, 80 to 150 in necessities like electricity, natural gas, wifi, cell service, 50 bucks for public transport, 150 bucks for takeaway/delivery/going out, and then whatever hobby you do will vary the needed budget drastically (I consider that you can't live comfortably if you can't do stuff you love doing, but since that can vary from jogging at the park for free, to flying planes at 130 bucks an hour, i will omit that from the budget).
Overall I would round it to 1500 to 2000 Yeehaw coins a month for a comfortable life in BA
GDL, Monterrey or CDMX around 250k MXN ~15k USD monthly at least.
Serious answer: around 2k USD monthly for 1 person.
