Driving a tuned duramax Diesel as a daily or a supercharged ls3 cts-v? I know they’re very diferent but all I need is 4 seats and I like both, I don’t need a truck but it could come in handy sometimes.
Yeah good point, how do you know if a supercharger is bad?
Might require a shop. You'll have to see how much boost it's making compared to stock numbers. No boost, no bueno. Same for the turbos on the truck, they just tend to noticeably leak oil when they're bad.
Ah makes sense, good info I appreciate it, I’m just trying to find something I can have fun with but also daily drive and will last a good long while. If you have any ideas I’d love to hear em, I went and sat in a vette here recently and it was honestly not great, I couldn’t see out of it 😂.
Np. GT mustangs and Nissan Z's are always the best bang for the buck in the fun department.
Yeah I’ve never been a mustang guy, the 5.0 is great don’t get me wrong, but I just don’t like how most of them look, and a 350 or 370 would be cool ngl but I do want a v8 and idk if I would fit comfortably in a fairlady-Z 😂. I’m very picky and it sucks bc there’s not a lot I do like 😅. Ooo what about a turbo or pro-charged 5.3 or 6.0 vortec? RCSB. 🤷🏻♂️
Listen man, I felt the same way until I found the right mustang. If you drove one, you wouldn't care. I'm 6'3" and my daily is a Lincoln town car. The funnest things I've had are the mustang, jeep YJ, and my ram power wagon, but I still get in the old Lincoln most of the time.
Maybe, I wouldn’t even know what to look for, idk shit about ford lol, nice, I’m 6’2”, lol yj’s are cool, yeah I feel that, those older Lincoln town cars are reliable for sure, well shit any older ford Chevy dodge vehicles were reliable until early 2000’s, emissions and shit.
2011-14 mustang gt has the coyote V8, 8.8" rear axle, tremec 6-speed trans, and like 3 other moving parts. It's one of the last "real" cars. Everything after 2014 is a no go for me, been there done that.
Gotta disagree used corvette is a lot more bang for very similiar bucks.
I'm just speaking from my experience. How comfortable is a Vette and how well does the torque tube setup hold up? I've been curious, I've just never known a GM interior to hold up well.
It was comfortable ngl, but my eyes were level with the sun visor until I leaned the seat back but then I couldn’t reach the steering wheel. It was a vert vette, idk if the hardtop is diffrent.
Telescoping wheels are severely underrated. It's BS we can't be comfortable without reaching for the wheel most of the time. Best feature on a topless YJ is no B pillar in your way
I've got a c6 and the interior isn't bad heated seats bluetooth and seats are pretty comfy torque tubes fine as long as you not pushing 1000k even then it's an easy fix. I'm in a 5.0 mustang as a rental and idk it feels gutless.
I just couldn’t fit comfortably in a vette or I would get one.
How tall are you in 6'2 and I got room to spare
