And just so we are clear, FSB removals are a pain in the dick and really easy to fuck up. I order colt 14.5s with the FSB already removed because it’s not something I wanna fuck with.
In case any one sees this, FSB’s are extremely easy to remove, if the muzzle device is already off. Installing new ones is the challenge, as you need to be careful not to install it too canted.
You can put new barrel on it with the proper FSB that has a lug, aside from that, no I am afraid you’re still dumb. Now you can have the FSB removed, install a low profile gas block, put an mlok rail of some kind on and install the G$ bayonet lug that attaches directly to mlok. Either way I’m not willing to spend that much just for a pointy gun
If you need an edge on your high velocity kinetic projectile repeater, you'll likely have some cordage or adhesive fabric to temporarily affix whatever is at hand.
A2 fsp with the bayonet lug and send the upper off to get threaded so I could install an A2 flash hider. From there, m203 handguards and the classic m203 launcher for extra points.
My first rifle basically- came with a ban era barrel. I shot the absolute piss out of it until the barrel gauged out of spec. Replaced it with a BCM 20” and still love the rifle.
I made a cloneish version and instead of a flash hider (my state blows) there’s a comp that looks just like one you can legally use. Also added a flashlight with a FSP mount

Oh dude my state is retarded. I’m in NJ where you can’t have a collapsable stock or flash hider on a rifle but yet we also have “others” that you can have whatever you want on it as long as the overall is 26” lol. Like why
Get a 3 prong flash hider, a TMC-1 inch light mount/elsetta 1 inch light mount, last I would get a USGI buttstock cleaning kit, then you can clean up your rifle if need be. It adds to the retro factor too. A little more weight in the buttstock feels nice.
If this had the bayonet lug and bird cage I would use stencils and spray paint for an admin number on the butt stock. Lots of over spray paint and slightly crooked to look like a private did it in a hurry because he had a 150 to do before he went home that day and was told 25 minutes before formation.
An FSB with a bayonet lug, threads, an A2 flash hider, and a classic Colt M16A2 fatty grip because they feel so much better than modern production grips.
Flash hider is missing, and if you like a Trijicon 4x ACOG scope. That was used by (anti-tank/sharpshooters unit) in the field back in the days. And a canvas sling.
