Does anyone have recommendations for a 2p 4S Alpine tent that is at least 85"(215cm) long? Ideally looking for a freestanding tent, but coming around to a tarp.
My backpacking tent is a BA Copper Spur HV UL 3. And at 90" is just enough so I don't have my toes or head pushing into the walls. (Edit: and on the note, the Copper Spur Expedition 2 is a leading contender, and maybe the MH Outpost 2 if I can find one)
Thanks
It's a problem, especially as not every manufacturer's 220cm is actually 220cm, or a more sloping end wall on some designs takes away the usefulness of those last 30cm or so. It can be a serious issue in an expedition tent with a big -30C bag pushed up against a damp wall.
I've used a Hilleberg Jannu that was quite good (I'm 6'7" / 199cm) and an older Bibler Tempest (not sure if BD continued this model) and the Macpac Minaret is low but has a very long side (slanted front of floor).
