Hi everyone! I've been using my bread maker to make home made pumpernickel bread and it's wonderful. But spinach dip is basically a must. So I'm hoping to make homemade ones and I'm wondering if a Harvest could grow spinach? Has anyone tried or should I just go for it and report back if it works?
THANK YOU! I need to buy spinach seeds now! Lol
Good luck! Let me know how it goes. I鈥檝e been at mine for 2 weeks, I still haven鈥檛 even gotten a sprout yet. The wait is killing me
If actual spinach won't grow, a variety of chard called "perpetual spinach" will grow well in Aerogardens. While it's not spinach, it's a good substitute for it in recipes with a similar flavor and texture.
THANK YOU! Going to get some seeds incase spinach doesn't work!
You're welcome. When I grew perpetual spinach chard in an aerogarden, it took a little while for the seeds to germinate, and not all of them germinated, but the plants that did sprout were very productive once they got going.
Have some started now, just popped out its hole.馃憖 fist time!
Spinach not sprouting, generates a lot of requests for help.
Here is a simple sumation of the tips and hints.

I鈥檝e grown it. Put the seeds in a damp paper towel in a zip bag and stuck them in the fridge for a couple weeks. Then, when sprouted, put them in pods and they were great.
That sounds yummy. And ya you can grow spinach in an Aerogarden Harvest, in fact I am doing just that right now! Just make sure you only plant 3 at most otherwise you will over crowd the garden.
I would put twice the amount of seeds of plant you want to grow in a damp paper towel then put the paper towel in a plastic bag for 5 days to germinate the seeds then plant them in your garden. I did this because I had some germination problems with my seeds.
You can do spinach in a harvest - just germinate with a paper towel first. I have 4 spinach plants in my farm.
Where do you get spinach seeds?
I ordered a pack off Amazon the company is called limitless growth they have a variety pack with 3 different types for $13 on amazon Canada
Thank you!!!
I鈥檓 just starting out too! I have been watching aregarden experiments on YouTube to learn he has a tutorial for just about any plant on his channel including spinach you should check it out
