I guess maybe in original language it's called children of Calydon, but English localization department figured sons fits better, because that's how biker clubs are usually named in English.
No, it's Sons in CN, too. The word used is 之子, which is literally just 'son of.'
Emm, the 子 can just mean offspring or children with neutral gender, not necessarily just male
I think the child's gender is commonly differentiated with 儿子 and 女儿. 子 now means male.
