Got three pedals too!
that lift
Camping. Freezing. And the kids named it "grafitti" jeep. Liquid chalk markers+a blank canvas+creative kids....
Haha, sounds like a good memory in the making.
It was a blast. I've learned that for the most part when you let kids just be kids with things like this, they aren't inappropriate, they have fun, they tend to be respectful of others property(of course there's always the outliers and troublemakers). Only 1 inappropriate word was added, and the kids policed themselves on it. I was inside and overheard it all "dude, you can't use that word, it's not OK, she's not gonna like it and your dad isn't gonna like it", and they erased it before I ever saw it.
Excellent wheel choice
Thank you! Old school cool on new school style.
I have the same on my YJ, love it
Love that the whites lettering is coming back! LPT: Brillo Pads work magic on the cleaning the white.
Thanks for that tip!
Looks great!
That looks amazing! Congratulations!
I m ridiculously jealous of your garage lift.
Nice wheel choice.
Thank you, I wanted to go with an old school look.

No! I had a shitty weekend! Ive been chasing 2 separate front end knocks in my 21 JLUR. First one I found to be a loose sector nut!! I got in there and tightened/retorqued it down but the pitman arm has some play in it! I dont know if its a backlash thing or the sector shaft in the steering box is shot. Either way, major PITA and not resolved yet, but at least the knock is gone for now.
Then I had some sort of suspension knock. Cant figure out where the hell its coming from. It only happens when the suspension loads and unloads. Either from a stand still and then accelarating. on a hill and accelerating. happens when i turn/corner. I thought it was a bad shock, replaced it, didnt make a difference. Pulled my stabilizer and sway bars and didnt make a difference. i then thought maybe it was a bushing in one of my rock krawler control arms. so i got under and started to see if anything was lose. noticed the factory bushing in the driver side axle housing for the UCA looked like it was popped out. i figured, hallelujah!! that was it. just gotta replace the bushing. so i order the rockjock johnny joint replacement kit. pull the entire front end apart. pop out the old bushing and start to press in the new one. im hammering on this thing with the supplied tool and it will just not go all the way in. come to find out that the driver side bushing doesnt actually sit flush against the opening in the axle!! so it wasnt popped out afterall...and i even shared a snapshot of it with RK and a few other people and they all said ...yeah must be it! well it wasnt it. and in the process of putting the coil spring back on, lifting it up and over the bumpstop... i somehow dislocated a fucking rib!!!!! who knew that was even a thing!!! it hurt so Fing bad i thought it was broken. i couldnt breathe, couldnt sit or lay down. i finally got talked into going to walk in for an xray and they saw nothing. just said it was dislocated (or slipped). so i was out of commission for 2 full days while my jeep was pieces and the ass hanging out of my garage so i couldnt close it all the way. finally was able to get back out there yesterday and put it back together....and guess what? the new johnny joints didnt fix the knock. so im back to square one and spent $215 bux i didnt need to on those joints.
rant over!!! sorry to hijack your thread. jeep looks great!! enjoy!
Looks good! What are the deets? How do you like it?
Thanks, I’ll make a bigger post soon with all the details but essentially it’s terraflex s/t2 2.5 inch lift, a JKS adjustable track bar, pro comp 69 series 17 inch rims and 35 inch bf Goodrich tires.
I’m super happy with how it came out. The steering is tight, it honestly feels better than when I started stock with the 33s.
I lost a lot of speed/highway pick up as you would expect, but still got going 75 mph on the way home no problem.
Overall I’m in love with the look, it is big enough to tell it is lifted without being overkill.
I am very happy, I would recommend a similar set up to others.
I'm a simple guy, I see a 2 door JL, I upvote
