No one can explain it to you. You don’t like them, other people do, and that’s fine.
I will never, EVER understand folks who complain about desserts being “too sweet.”
“Man it sure is hot inside this bonfire.”
It’s almost like people like different things. Absolutely wild.
No one owes you anything but the phrase “I tend to believe a dish should be balanced” in relation to cookies probably says a lot more about you than it does the cookies.
To me it was "disgustingly unhealthy"
Like I also prefer desserts that aren't super sweet, but not because I'm worried about my cookie being healthy. It's a treat, it's ok.
In the case that you lack any self awareness at all, your tone is rude and condescending and you are unlikely to get a helpful answer.
Signed, non cake splitter
The banana chocolate chip cookie is amazing. One of the best things I’ve ever eaten.
i guess that’s why there’s some many cookies and cookie stores. Not everyone has to love each place.
Agreed
I haven't tried them before but don't like foods that are way too sweet. That's why I don't like Dole Whip. I was with you until your second to last sentence, and I was thinking, "Oh man, I'd probably hate those cookies if they're just overly sweet." But then you said, "And chalked full of butter." Butter isn't sweet, so which one is it? Too sweet or too buttery?
Found the current employee
Well of course you didn't like the cookies, if they had chalk in them. That's not food.
Go back and get some that are chock full of butter; those will be delicious.
Holy shit bro, have a coke (or whatever balanced health conscious beverage of your choosing that you can split w/ someone) and a smile. .
It’s a cookie.
From your comments here, I’m actually stunned by the amount of money you spent on a bunch of cookies. It doesn’t sound like you care for things with butter and sugar (which are, I don’t know, 50%+ of what a cookie is constructed of).
If you had never tried them and therefore weren’t sure if you’d like them, why did you order one of every kind? Do you think it would’ve been less disappointing only having bought one and finding out they weren’t for you?
The ice coffee is amazing, Jesus I’d take a trip just for that .
The cake was pretty good too
But did you like them??
Your post is a little dramatic- but-
It's not anywhere near the top of my personal list of things I need to try that I haven't yet at Disney because of.
A. The effort to get in. You set the bar for an establishment higher if it is extremely popular and hard to get in.
B. I've watched clips of this place and their food in over 100 different vlogs- and it looks like the texture of their cookies isn't for me. The coffees and cakes could be good though.
So if I go down to WDW and have a chance to try it I will. But I'm not going to go out of my way to get their stuff. My son likes the theming so that's a reason to stop in.
They like the taste. That’s why people go there.
Your opinion is not law. Other people like them; no one is requiring you to eat them. No need to be insulting.
I see it as a novelty. October was my first time, but recently got a chance to do hot cookie hour so took advantage. I keep them in my fridge when I get home and eat them to remind me of my trip. I agree they’re SUPPER SWEET.
I love their cookies and cream cookie. We ordered online and picked up from their other location. I won’t wait in an hours long line for any food item.
Wouldn’t say it’s awful, but I wouldn’t wait in line for them. I totally agree, highly overrated.
Edit: would wait in line for that damn PB cold brew though…
It's the same ppl who swear by Crumbl cookies lol
