Love Toluca Bakery. I feel like there’s no vegan tax there.
Beelmans isn't 100% vegan anymore. They should update that to avoid confusion
Isn’t Nic’s on Beverly also closed now?
Yeah, the article is old tho and mentioned that Nics was set to close on March 31
Yeah it is old, the publishing date says March 5th 2024, I glanced quickly without looking properly, thought it was May 5th 2024. In a few months things can change a lot, the way things are now
Follow Your Heart market sold animal products last time I went too
FYH cafe is now fully vegan...has been for a while.
Walk down the supplement aisle and you'll still see gelatin caps, and ingredients made of cow and other animals.
From what I understand the restaurant portion is now fully vegan, it's just their wellness aisle that needs a kick up the bum.
This article is about restaurants. I noted that the cafe, which is featured in said article, is indeed all vegan.
Yep! I'm just mentioning that the market has non-vegan items. When people assume a place is vegan they might do some shopping while there, not realizing that they have to pay closer attention, as if they were in a conventional store.
They always have. They've never been a 100% vegan market as far as I've known. Besties is though, surprised they're not on the list.
Besties is awesome! Not just vegan, but only carry fully vegan brands
And they have hot dogs, soft serve etc. And the staff are all super lovely
FYH cafe is now fully vegan.
The Cafe is yes. But the market has always sold non vegan products
The article is about restaurants, so I assumed that's what you were all referring to.
Fair call 😊
What were they selling?
- Wild Living Foods still serves honey - not vegan.
Thanks for making note of that. I'm really trying to support the all-vegan places as much as possible, or giving those priority anyway, as it were
I see some places I’ve never been; thank you! (And as ever, justice for Naughty Vegan which I think isn’t on nearly enough of these type of lists.)
