so I'm headed to Dublin for approximately 6 weeks for work. with the planned schedule free time will not be any abundance but i plan on working out some time for some hikes while I'm there. just curious if anyone had ay recommendations preferably within 2 hours of the area. enjoy some urbex climbing and exploring to so will definitely be keeping my eyes open for that to.
Pulaski County itself has very limited hiking. However, there is plenty around there.
The Cascades up in Giles county is an amazing hike in early spring. I’d wait a bit closer to spring but it’s my favorite place around there.
McAfee’s knob up in Roanoke is one of the most photographed places on the AT. It’s a real fun hike. Go early in the morning to beat the crowds and google the parking situation beforehand.
Grayson Highlands is about an hour and a half away and is my personal favorite hike in the state. Truly breathtaking views.
