[OC] USL Top 50: Ranking the Championship’s best players
Here's the top 10 as a preview outside of the paywall. This ended up being like 6,500 words of player breakdowns, so I'd encourage a click and a trial if you're at all interested. I've got players from 21 out of 24 USL teams represented, so there's something for most people.
/10. Russell Cicerone
/9. Jordan Doherty
/8. Maxi Rodriguez
/7. Rodrigo López
/6. Nathan Steinwascher
/5. Conor Donovan
/4. Cal Jennings
/3. Jack Gurr
/2. Arturo Ordoñez
/1. Aaron Molloy
Just curious, who were the 3 teams that aren't represented?
Miami (who I imagine will get Allen Gavilanes on this list when I do it next year)
Colorado Springs (I’m lower on Ronaldo Damus than most people; Matt Mahoney was a late cut)
Loudoun (feels like a team made exclusively of “very good, not great” pieces)
Glad to see Damus didn't make the cut tbh. Guy has all the pace in the world but doesn't get involved in build up and isn't the type to go at defenders either. As long as the defense doesn't allow him to run in behind there's really nothing he can do to affect the game.
