Scarpa Boreas GTX - why aren't they on the Scarpa site?

Tried these in store at Go Outdoors. The feel pretty nice but are a bit of an investment and not totally convinced they will be right in warmer weather. I need a replacement boot for Scafell in a couple of weeks and similar terrain this summer.

While I was there I did a few searches and they aren't on Scarpa's website? Is this a bad sign?

Anyone have any experiences?

Thank you. Annoying that they are sold as "trail and forest" yet look more robust than the Mojito which says "mixed terrains and mountain paths".

I've bought these exact boots around 9momths ago now and they have been great, at the time it was alot of money for the shoe relative to previous pairs I've owned but I'm glad I bought them now.

The sole is firm.. but comfortable once worn in. The shoe has more lining than I am used to which was great in the winter but I haven't worn them on any very hot days yet.

Quality wise no complaints, just they are missing a loop on the back of the heel to help get them on/off, from a design perspective.

Has done the three Yorkshire peaks and 20mile routes with zero complaints

Thanks, good to hear. Yeah the lining is thick which appears very supportive but potentially very sweaty. Just hoping these will hold up on rockier terrain on Scafell and CMD and not too sweaty up to about 16C.

Personally I would avoid Scarpa these days, the quality has nose dived and the last few pairs I had (boots and trail runners) didn’t even last 12 months.

I’m still happy with Scarpa. Think you can have problems and bad luck with anything I had a pair of Salewa’s recently that disintegrated in 3 months of light use yet plenty happy with them.

Normally I would agree.

My first pair of Scarpa boots lasted about 5 years (and that included a year living in the rockies being abused through all the seasons, they even survived hiking through volcanoes in Hawaii, which is pretty much the fastest way to destroy footwear)

When they were done me and my wife bought a new pair each and both were terrible, only lasted about a year.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and bought another pair, she got some Mammuts, mine were done after 8 months, hers were still great.

Final straw was a pair of trail runners I bought last year, I only run 2/3 times a week, they didn’t make 10 months before they started to fall apart. I usually go with Solomon’s and they last far longer.

I used to work in the outdoor industry when I was in Canada so know how to look after my gear and know what should and shouldn’t be failing on a pair of boots. Unfortunately from what I’ve seen Scarpa are really cheating out on materials and they just don’t stand up to their intended use any more.

And yet my experience is the complete opposite. 2 new pairs in the last year shoes and boots and still like new.

My last pair of Scarpas lasted me 2000km and I've just replaced them with the exact same kind. Only 120km on the new ones so far but we shall see how they fare against the last pair.
