Hi I'm new to tyranids I have:
20x Termagants w fleshborers 10x Termagants w devourers 20x hormagaunts 20x Genestealers 1x barbagaunts box 1x biovores box 1x old one eye 1x unbuilt carnifex sprue 1x winged tyranid prime 1x exocrine 1x broodlord 3x von ryans leapers 2x psychophage 1x unbuilt venomtropes/zoantropes box
Any tips on how to start the army with 1000p and improvements to get to 2000p.

Could try: invasion fleet, 1x OOE with carnifex, 1x Broodlord with 10x Genestealers, 1x 10 hormagaunts, 2 x 10 termagaunts, 1x biovore, 1x exocrene, 1x 3 zoanthropes.
It's 1000pts exactly.
For going to 2000pts it depends on what you want to play, if you want swarms then some more termagaunts with spineless and a tervigon would be good, if you want synapse/shooting then you would want more zoanthropes and a maleceptor or norn emmisary, if you want big bugs then the best ones are exocrenes, maleceptors, get another carnifex for Ooe to lead. Vanguard would want another broodlord for your genestealers and a deathleaper and neurolictors.
The meta choices right now are a couple of units of gargoyles for scoring secondaries, exocrenes/zoanthropes for their shooting, maleceptors as the tankiest unit, hive tyrant on foot for free stratagems and giving other units assault, neurolictors for forcing battleshock and buffing other tyranids broodlords with genestealers as anti tank melee.
