TIFU by not researching what "canyoning" meant before signing up for it in Costa Rica

So there I was, an unsuspecting tourist just looking for some outdoor adventure in the lush Costa Rican rainforest. The word "canyoning" sounded cool, so I went ahead and booked it without a second thought. Little did I know, I had accidentally signed myself up to rappel down a freakin' waterfall

As I was halfway down, clinging to the rock face as water pounded all around me, it finally dawned on me what I had gotten myself into. My adrenaline was pumping like crazy as I tried not to slip and plummet to my death.

10/10 would inadvertently put my life in a stranger's hands again for that crazy adrenaline high. The look on my face as I reached the bottom and my brain caught up is one I'll never forget 😂
