After speaking with my tax advisor, it has become painfully clear to me that travel nursing is not as lucrative as I thought. Duplicating expenses in combination with rental rates is killing my profit margin. I'm losing at LEAST one week's pay in rent a month on Furnished Finder/AirBNB and that isn't including the duplication of expenses for my tax home. I have been thinking about investing in a camper van to cut down on the rental rate expense. Bad idea? What are you guys doing? I'm open to any and all suggestions to increase my profit margin.

Travel nursing is only lucrative if your house is paid off and you are only paying minimal utilities and property taxes. OR if you live with your parents who own their home and you pay them for “shared expenses” every month. Other than that idk how or why you guys are doing it with these rates.
Not directing this at you but I don’t know why everyone thinks they’re a candidate for travel. It takes a certain kind of person with pretty rare circumstances to really make it worth your while. TikTok travelers really brainwashed a lot of people during that pandemic
