The Sims 4 Mods

Thank you to everyone in the community for your patience and kindness as we tried some new rules during the latest For Rent update. Most mods have been updated since the latest patch and we are happy to get back to our regularly scheduled activities.

That being said, we are going to trial run a change to the rules going forward around posts requesting help with mods being "broken" or "glitchy" etc. These posts will now have to be accompanied by additional information to help the community better understand the issue. Information like your mod list, what you've tried to resolve the issue, relevant screenshots are all things that would provide additional information.

Posts titled "Help?" with a screenshot and nothing else will run the risk of being removed as spam. (Providing additional information in the comments below the automod response is also sufficient.)

If you see a post that you do not think meets the criteria above, feel free to report it and a member of our Mod Team will review it. Even if you think a post does not meet the criteria, please remember to be respectful of other community members. Helping others and sharing our knowledge of mods and custom content is the reason this subreddit exists, whether it's as simple as sharing your favorite creator or a work around for a broken mod.

As The Sims 4 continues to roll out content or any major updates, we will reinstate our "no broken mods" rules temporarily to avoid spam.

Hi I’m very new to the game and I just discovered mods but they confuse me and I don’t know which ones to get. Anyone have advice? Also - anyone got advice on how to make this game fun/what to do on sims 4 besides the obvious I guess? Thanks

Hello everyone! I discovered Agapesim and their creations on ItsAlazsha’s YouTube channel. I went searching and their simsfileshare links have been removed, as well as their patreon. All their tumblr links to their CC links to their patreon too. I was really interested in some of their skins, specifically:

-May Skin -Sorii Skin -Angel skin -Jae skin -Moon skin Jessica Skin …I suppose all of their skins I now realize as I’m listing. If any of you have any in your mods folder and could share, I would deeply appreciate it. TIA

I used to have whickedwhims but uninstalled due to younger siblings wanting to watch me play, I loved some of the animations that were sfw, but I don’t know any creators that make sfw animations that I don’t need whickedwhims for?, any suggestions?

I have a problem with the sims 4 relationship and pregnancy overhaul mod. It is in my game, I see it in the window that pops up and tells you all the mods you have. There are all the categories from this mod listed in there. But in the game when I click the action tab there are only "make up & break up", "woohoo life" and "pregnancy & family". I have the core package, the version is 2.98 and I've never had this mod before so there is no old version in my mod folder. Does anyone have any idea why I don't have all the categories and is willing to help?

What is mods? What are they used for? And how do I get them? And CC? Like I need an in depth tutorial please help me

in my game is always the same weather! do you know what mod could be doing this? I tried repairing the game and deleting broken mods but nothing worked

I am looking for some mods that make different family/relationship dynamics and lifestyles more fun. If that makes sense??

I’ve found a lot for like BDSM, Sub/Dom.. etc but wondering if there’s others out there. Doesn’t necessarily need to be kink/fetish/WW based. Can be something more family friendly. I don’t have anything that is good for a couple with kids or anything outside two kinky adults.

Just want to make my different households more unique & having more specific roles/beliefs/tasks/whatever rather then try to use my imagination 😂😂 (I’m not very good at the mental dialog or like mentally having scenarios happen that aren’t actually on the screen)

Ive tried updating all of the mods and ive even gone as far as taking them all out, deleting from computer, and reinstalling but its still telling me one or more of my mods are out of date. It even gave me this when all i had in was MCCC which states its compatible with the 5/28 update so idk what wrong. Ive repaired the game and everything, but I'm at my wits ends with it atp, thanks in advance!!!

Okay so I’ve been trying to save my builds but all it does is load and load. If I turn off my mods to build and were to save and turn my mods back on will my mods be back?? Or will I have to re add my mods items back to all my other builds and sims? I deleted my mods folder made another one did all that and I repaired my game. It could be one of my mods but I wasn’t having this issue before so idk 😭😭

I like to make over all the townies in CAS so they fit the esthetic of my save file. It's so much work and every time i think i'm done new households and townies that look completely out of place are automatically created. Is there a mod to stop this? Thanks in advance!

How did this happen? We had to delete all the clothes except two pants (may have to get rid of those too) because it was so horrifying and it glitched so many clothes.

I want to make a post apocalyptic save where only very few sims are still alive, so I would like to prevent the game from generating new townies. Is there a mod that allows this?

Hey I'm having trouble with the pandasama childbirth mod and basically the "read to baby" and "belly hug" interactions don't show up but every other one is fine. Is anyone else having this issue or is it another mod that is stopping it from working? I have made sure the mod is up to date and have redownloaded and reinstalled the mod multiple times while deleting localthumbcache and last exception files after doing so. I have also repaired and reopened the game multiple times and restarted my pc. There are no other versions of it in my pc except the one currently in the mod folder. Could anyone help?

So I had gshade but I had to uninstall it because it made my game lag and i have a innoview PC 🖥 i don't know if I have to reshade or reinstall gshade back when I had gshade and i would turn off the preset I'm using in my game it would run fast and work wonderful but when I put a preset on it would lag and go slow

I decided yesterday that I wanted my game to look like everyone else’s online and try downloading reshade or gshade (I don’t really know the difference). But I can’t get it to work at all and I’ve followed many tutorials.

I got it to work on my regular game file but not my game cracked file (dlc unlocker). The files are there but it just doesn’t show up when I load the game.

I have TERRIBLE memory and I just know that once I delete the file for my mods/ccs, I will not remember what to redownload. I was wondering if there was a way to “keep” all the files on my computer and then add them right back to the Mods folder? In past experiences, I’ve had to delete everything and then start from scratch which has caused a lot of inconsistent gameplay using the mods/ccs.

I’m sorry if this is a super dumb question 😅
