The Portal from the Cemetery exits near the Clawthorne house where Eda found the Portal Door
ScreenshotI noticed that immediately, which is rare for me to pick up on things. I figured people More Observant Than Me would post about it. Plus, to be honest, I don't know what software people are using to attack these scenes or put them side-by-side or grab video clips or whatever, so I never try.
It explains to me why the portal was nearby that gate. It's probably where Caleb and Philip entered the BI for the first time.
I was suspecting this be never analyzed the scene in detail. I thought they would just confirm it by having the group meet or encounter Eda’s parents again.
its also the thing that makes me think the door was made by Caleb to visit Evelyn.
I think if anything it’d be the reverse. Evelyn made it to visit Caleb
I think calab craved the door and key, while Evelyn did the magic to make it. So they had equal parts in making it.
I agree plus with a child on the way I bet Caleb also wanted his child to connect with his human heritage and show Gravesfield that witches are not sinful baby eating monsters to basically show them that they were wrong but that plan never came to pass and was abandoned since Phillip killed Caleb and Evelyn hid the portal door and key from Phillip by burying it so he wouldn’t get back home to bring an army of witch hunters to the isles.
IT'S ALL CONNECTED
I'm still wondering why the portal is at that particular gravestone. Maybe whoever was buried there is from the demon realm?
It’s Evelyn’s and Caleb’s shared grave
caleb doesn't have a grave. His body was used to make grimwalkers.
Just because his body was used doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a grave. I can easily see Belos robbing Caleb’s grave.
Presumably, Caleb died in the demon realm, so there would be no body to bury. The grave has to belong to someone else.
Edit: It also looks like the grave has been there before the Wittebane brothers' time.
is it still a grave if there's no body in it?
That's interesting!
Well, that tree on the right didn't change one bit in 30 years
I can’t believe I never noticed this
I think Spoilers in the title are okay since it's been over 1 week since the new episode aired!
Wasn't sure if it was obvious, but something I noticed was that the portal exit from the Gravesfield Cemetery portal is the same location near the Clawthorne house (Eda: "I never knew this was back here") where she finds the portal door in Keeping Up A-fear-ances.
Coincidence, or perhaps the Clawthrones have lived in that house for generations...as far back as Caleb's time?
