**Rule 1: Politeness and Respect**

Treat others with dignity and be mindful of the diversity across the Civil Service. Bullying, harassment and abusive behaviour is not welcome on the subreddit. Discrimination in relation to protected characteristics will result in a ban.

**Rule 2: Personal Responsibility:**

At all times be mindful of the Civil Service Code. Users should share a sense of personal responsibility in ensuring the intergrity of the Civil Service is not put into doubt. If contacted privately for any reason surrounding work-specific information, this should be ignored and reported to the subreddit moderators. Users are reminded that maintaining anonymity may allow you to express your views more safely.

**Rule 3: Content**

Discussion on the subreddit should largely be based on the UK Civil Service and by extension circumstances relevant to the United Kingdom in some respect.

Please do not discuss the specific kit you get in role - this poses a security risk for yourself and your department. Whilst it might be nice to know - ultimately it doesn't matter! You'll find out when you start.

**Rule 4: Safeguarding**

Users should not offer 'private' support and guidance surrounding personal issues via message to anyone. Instead, users should publicly signpost others to a relevant organisation in the resources section (or other organisations of similar repute) as there will be accredited expertise in supporting vulnerable members of the public whilst being mindful of safeguarding practice.

**Rule 5: PerSec/Clearances**

NO vetting clearance reveals allowed. If you mention your clearance level your comment will be removed and you will be temporarily banned. If you do it again the ban is permanent. 

Make an effort to hide identifiable information. Remember anyone can browse the subreddit including hostile actors. 

All questions about vetting/clearence should be directed to your hiring manager/Departmental sponsor/relevant security cluster team.
