Why did no one tell them this show was this fucking good. Honestly it literally could Stand on its own without The Boys. Give me all this teen drama with insane violence and dark comedy and the huge conspiracy yum yum yum. Gimmie more Jordan and Marie yum yum yum.
I love the show, too. It’s really great.
I thought it jumped right into a ton of personal character issues before I had the context to be emotionally invested in any of the characters. The first half feels like afterschool programming for teens, aside from the adult imagery. I'm probably just too old to relate the teen drama side, though the second half had more action and more ties to The Boys universe, which helped it along for me. I'd watch a second season.
It ultimately boils down to personal preference and age demographics I imagine younger viewers relate better to the plotlines in GenV than older viewers.
I think Gen V started out really strong but I didn’t like the mind fuck plot we got towards the end. Wiping memories is a cheap trope especially the way they did it imo, but that’s just how I felt.
I actually thought the show got better as it went on. First few episodes kinda dragged but once tek knight showed up it never slowed down.
I agree. I hesitated watching it for ages because I thought it was just gonna be like a CW show,but as It went on I actually started to love it. Genuinely prefer aspects of it to the Boys.
I didn't really like it and thought the boys was infinitely better. Like I just missed Homelander and Butcher and all the other great actors and the main storyline. But everyone has their own tastes.
I wasn’t feeling it all the first time I tried to watch but I’m glad I gave it shot , I started it after last weeks episode and I’m already at the finale

Its SO good! Some days i like it more than the boys. It reminds me a lot of Buffy season four, in a good way.
Fantastic show but was still harmed by the 8 episode curse
In the final episode, when people were fleeing the campus, they fleed for SO LONG. Flee the dorm, forget your keys, flee back through the battle zone, flee back to the main quad and flee around there for a while then flee back around because everybody went back to the battle. Were they daring each other to "streak" by the fight? Rubbernecking on the run?
