I was reading the statistics on the original post and I’m shocked that so many people still work this job, but maybe I’m exaggerating, but still, I’m assuming it’s like this 24/7 for however many days or weeks you’re doing this. 15 years ago I probably would have tried this, definitely not now.
Most of these incidents can be avoided by improving internal designs of the ships. Wonder why they are not doing it.
e.g. they can have holders at required places for people to hold on to during such times. Bed bunkers can have foam or something soft layer on the sides to avoid being hit on the head etc.
Wonder how many people swallowed a tooth brush or got stabbed with scissors unintentionally.
