I'm currently working on this larger site and when I first came on board, I noticed their sitemap wasn't automatically updating. They had a plugin for it, but it was excluding a ton of their indexable pages.
I had to manually create a sitemap to help the other pages get found, but since this website is constantly changing, I figured a dynamic/auto-updating sitemap would be the better route.
The site currently uses WordPress and Cloudflare. I could always re-create the manual sitemap again, but I was wondering if there was a better route to take (I could also see if their dev team could help out).
Any suggestions are appreciated!
Huh, most SEO plugins handle this well automatically in my experience and allow for inclusion / exclusion based on index status of the post or page.
Is there an SEO plugin in use ?
I wonder if the current plugin isn’t working right bc there is another issue like cron or memory exhaustion preventing it from being fully generated. Just speculating there though.
