So i guess we all know about the Double Moonsault but has there ever been a Double Shooting Star Press?
It would have to be done off a ladder or perhaps from the turnbuckle to the outside in order to have enough time to complete the rotations, but I’m not sure it’s physically possible to generate enough momentum for a double inverse rotation.
Would have to be a tall ladder or have the athleticism of a genetic freak
Not true. Ricochet proved a Double Moonsault (Which is rotationally identical to the Double SS) is possible from turnbuckle to mat height, unassisted, as early as 2006.
Lol a double shooting star press would be 1000 times harder than a double moonsault. Just because there the same rotation doesnt make them the same difficulty whatsoever.
I don't disagree. it must be way harder or else we'd have seen it by now. But you can't say it's impossible, everyone said a Double Moonsault was impossible before it wasn't.
Yeah but it's just the physics of it. You can double moonsault because of the momentum of launching yourself backwards from the top rope. You really have no momentum during a shooting star press so you need height. And even a ladder wouldnt be tall enough. But who knows theres some crazy luchadors out there haha.
What is this logic.
You can't say a quintuple Moonsault is impossible either?
I’ve never seen that. I’ve only seen him hit the 630, which is the opposite (easier) rotation.
He's done it. One example: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XeYc78oXJU)
That’s a double moonsault, not a shooting star press
The original post in the chain said he proved a double moonsault is possible. You said you had never seen that and only seen him hit a 630. So I posted the double moonsault link, since I thought you were saying you had never seen him do one.
Oh, got it. Thanks for sharing
Well a 540 isn't anything. A Double Moonsault or a Double SS are both a 630. A 540 means you land right on the top of your head.

That's a 630 Senton. A 450 with an extra half rotation aka 180
Respectfully, No it isn't. You're thinking of a 630 Senton, frontwards rotation.
I have been keeping my ear to the ground about this and the answer is no, not yet.
It will happen eventually, but we can't know exactly when that will be. Shooting Star Sentons/Legdrops have been around since at least the early 2000's and since Ricochet proved the Double Moonsault in 2006, even the Shooting Stardust press (the inverted Phoenix Splash, which my unathletic ass would assume is way harder than a Double SS) has been cracked by a few aerial masters. As a wrestling move connoisseur I've been waiting for this for over 15 years.
I think Teddy Hart claimed he could do one, which he 100% can't.
You said Teddy heart, but my brain for some reason said Teddy long and I burst out laughing internally

SSP Senton is the closest I believe.
I was thinking about Andrade's missed top rope moonsault into a standing moonsault
