managed to get this Sony XM4 for parts, costed me 70$. because the left side was making a high pitch noise. I removed the ear cup, and the white piece that’s above the magnet had fallen off. I just put it back into its place, and the high pitch noise stopped.

This high pitched noise was caused by noise cancelling and is quite common in some parts of the WH XM4 series. Amazon gave me a full refund even after I owned them for close to 2 years

I was thinking about selling mine XM3’s for around the same price for a similar reason. The other side doesn’t play any sound.

I know that someone smarter and handy could fix it with just small adjustments.
