2Month England Stay. 1GBP=60 of my currency

I'm planning to go to England to work during my summer break. Though, I do not know much about England's geography/economy. I'm 18, this is the first time I'm doing such a thing. I have many inquiries:

What are some of the cheaper places in terms of living expenses? How much would they approximate cost

Would it be easier/better if I find a job offer before traveling and apply for a work visa instead of a tourist one. If yes, where can I search/apply for job offers such as cashier, waiter, barista, etc..

What are sites/apps I can use to find a cheap place to stay; I need someplace extremely cheap for my first 4~5 days until I can find a job (if I don't find one online).

Thank you in advance for any reality checks, suggestions, tips, etc.

You’re not getting a work visa that easily. The UK government hate foreigners. Where are you from? You are better applying for a working holiday visa

Even being from the EU, which is probably the best case scenario, you’re not getting a work visa unless you’re either a) from Ireland or b) bribing God somehow

that's not how life works. unless you have permission to work in the UK, no one is going to legally hire an 18 year old with no skills do to anything. and anything illegal will not pay you enough to live. there's nothing cheap about the UK

Working in the UK as a foreigner has become more difficult than ever. I actually have a Malaysian friend who works illegally in London, as do many foreigners, but it's really not a good idea.

If you want to travel around England (an expensive country compared to many) then you're better off finding a decent paying online job.

Well I’m pretty sure you can’t go and work on a tourist visa. So yes you should obviously try and find a company that will sponsor your work visa however good luck at 18 years old unless you have some specialised education and are massively in demand.

And even then finding a job that will sponsor a visa in 2 months is very difficult. My girlfriend hasn’t been able to find one in 2 months and as a result of that we are getting married so she can stay before her visa expires lol

That employer will have to bear the cost of your visa and will have to have a reason to hire and sponsor your visa over someone from the UK at no cost

American here... From what I've been told by the few UK friends, the job market in the UK is super hard to get into and has been for the past few years. Not sure how easy it will be to get a work visa.

This is missing information. Does this mean that your currency is stronger than the British Pound? If so, that's a hell of a exchange and we should be looking for jobs in your country. Because the GBP is stronger than the US dollar lol.

Not only is England very expensive, you’ll liable to be questioned on arrival if you’re hoping to stay for a 2 month holiday - it’s not unusual to be asked to show proof of funds for a 2 month stay. Unless you have family you’re staying with (sounds like that’s not the case) you’ll need to have a significant amount of savings or they’ll assume that you’re travelling to England for work

If you get a UK visa you'd have to pay the health and human services fee. It's so high our family from the western world has basically written off the UK.

It's been going up rapidly as well.
