Any other scots not have ginger hair, but do have a ginger beard?
Same lol. Mine is dark brown on the sides, ginger and blonde at the chin
Other than the white/grey my bear hair changes colour depending on the light.
Same it's blond in my goatee, redish on my cheeks and darker in my sideburns. My head hair is really dark brown But my hair is diffrent all over my body. Blondish arms, blond bangs brown ish chest hair, black from the waist down,
We used to call that a native beard, a patchy here, a patchy there.
Lol my x called it a calico beard.
This but also weird random super long black ones that spontaneously appear throughout the year.
Ah, the weird really thick black ones that are actually three hairs all bunched together
Me too.
Lol my dad has this. The middle part of his beard is ginger but the hair on either side is gray.
Same. Mine has more colours than an LBGTQ+ flag.
My username checks out
I’m a Scottish woman - of course I have a ginger beard
Scots are like Dwarves in that regard.
use to have some ginger in my (brown) beard but those are generally grey/white now, head hair still brown
The ginger and blonde hairs have started to turn grey first, black and brown holding on.
Treacherous bastards.
Blonde hair, ginger beard, umtll it started to go grey.
My dad. Jet black hair and bright ginger beard and moustache
Im in that Boat.
My beards mostly brown but when the suns out and shining you can see a very strong red through it.
My head hair is also thinning but i dont think il go bald.
You’ve gone and done it now mate. The balding god is a vengeful god
Turkey awaits my future.
Gobble gobble
Yep, it's not rare. Hair was red as agtoddler, jet black later.
23andMe said 96% Scots, 4% African
My cousin was the same.
Turns out that's your cousin you just replied to
Ha ha
Interesting. When they say Scots, what do they mean exactly?
Your beard hair and head hair rely on different genetics and hormones.
It's a lottery really. There's only me and one cousin on my dads side that can grow any facial hair. That's it. Nobody else can. Not my dad, not my uncles, not my brothers. My cousin is balding and I'm not 🤷♀️
And that’s just the women in the family? 😂
Only if they're Tolkein-esque dwarves in my experience
Ah yeah. Often Fifers too. 🧐
Maybe because I'm in my late 40s but I do love when a woman has a little hair on her lips. Not that I mind a little trimming but I must say I miss the texture a bit.
Hmmm. What lips are you talking about there? 😜
They may not kiss back but they do respond well to good technique
😜😂😂😂
If I grow it out long enough it starts to go ginger. Starts off brown though.
Brown hair, ginger as fuck beard. My wife seems to like it
you sure?
Isn't it something to do with Celtic genes?
I'm Irish. Me da is as blonde as an aryan but has ginger brown and black facial hair.
Danish Vikings were mostly red heads. They’re not celts.
Used to its more grey these days.
I've got a ginger beer
I was Ginger as a kid it went darker when I got older beard is ginger
It's the MC1R gene!
Shouldn’t that be the Mc1R gene?
The joke went over my head for more than I'll admit 😂
All of us
It was a bit ginger-y (now it's grey).
Blond hair and eyebrows, auburn beard and stache
The ginger middle part of mine turned white, but I have a dark stripe down the middle. It was calico before it went white
Ha that’s my brother. He had mousy thin hair (bald now though) and when he grew a beard we were all shocked at this big bushy red growth that emerged.
My brothers like that
Was blond as a nipper, ginger as a teen, now mousey brown, but the beard remains ginger.
Ginger from the eyebrows down. Though there’s a disturbing amount of grey creeping in…just everywhere.
I got jet black hair and a ginger beard, I don’t get gray hairs just white af ones
Used to have a ginger portion on the beard. Its grey now.
Parts of it are like fucking copper wire

I didn't start growing my beard until I was 37 and fully grey. Now I'm wondering what my beard would have looked like when I was blond
Same as yer pubes mate
In that case my beard would have been mostly blond with golden undertones. Not ginger per se but not totally blond either. That said I've been keeping my man-mesh trimmed very close to the skin simply because the trees look taller if you keep the grass short around them
I’m Frisian (North Dutch) apparently we were named for our frizzy hair. I have that hair, started of high blond and over the years it’s become darker and darker, but as soon as I could grow a beard it was full ginger. That is now also getting darker and greyer…
my dad has very dark brown hair on his head and the one time he tried to grow a mustache my mum made him shave it off because it came in ginger lol
Not me personally, but ma da did, it's probably grey by now though. Mine is almost black, to go with my brown hair.
Yes
Yep. Means you have one copy of the MR1 gene (or what ever it's called)
My mate does, he spent his childhood mocking ginger people, then was very keen on shaving, then had a ginger kid, lol.
yep it's quite common in scotland. an old school friend called it Scottish Ginger Beard Syndrome.
i have blonde hair and mostly ginger beard. but i also have a grey patch in my beard but not my hair. and my pubes are brown, and my chest hair is wiry and black. And my arm hair is thin and blonde. It's all a bit of a mish-mash.
Yes I call our kind chingers
Blond/ brown hair but a tinge of ginge in the beard
Mostly brown, ginger at the corners of my chin (chinger), and very fair coloured under my lip. Hair is completely dark brown but now speckled with silver.
Yeah this is me dark hair fuckin orange beard
My brother has brown hair and a reddish beard and I know a few other guys with similar (some with beards much more reddish than my brother's).
My dad was more ginger in his youth but still has wisps of ginger in his beard now he’s got brown hair.
I have a redder cast to my beard than hair, but it isn't ginger. I find this so common in Scotland though. Brown hair, browny red beard. I feel like it's the most common Scottish look.
Most of us. Probably. Or not. No idea.
I used to have ginger/brown beard and brown hair but I've gone full silver now
I'm Icelandic with brown hair and brown/ginger beard.
My beard is now white, but the mustache is still gloriously ginger !
Every Scottish or Irish person has ginger in their beard, right?
Mostly grey now but my beard was a mix of brown and ginge.
I have dark-brown black beard, now going grey, and yet also have a wee bit of ginger in there.
Yep
My hubby is a huge highland man and has dark hair and a ginger beard 😂and I wouldn't have him any other way.
Ginger beard with white bits mate hahah! Why I just take a number one over my beard😂😂
Yes, look up Melanotan peptide, it can help with this condition.
Aye
Yes. I'm like a badger on top and a fox for a beard
I've got the patchy beard with black brown red blonde Ultra blonde (missus calls them grey). They are setting up shop in ears nose and eyebrows growing like weeds .
My husband does. My son has ginger hair so I blame/thank my husband for his ginger beard.
Aye, whole beard and hair have orange undertones, bears has thick ginger hairs in and also streaks of like a whitish blonde here and here
Neither, really. I lucked out. Cunts.
I’ve got a ginger dog.
Opposite for me.. dark brown hair, beard like an iron bru can.
I'm English and I have a red beard and brown hair. Genetics are fickle and capricious
I did when I was younger. Arm pit hair still has a red tinge. :P
Surely that should be Irn-Bru, not ginger beer?
Me too, but im a german
Most blond guys I know have ginger tinged beards.
Yup
I did get loads of ginger hair in my blond beard but they have mostly turned gray now
My husband has (albeit very thin now) dark chocolate brown hair, it's so dark it almost looks black until he's in the light. The very little facial hair he can grow is like a rainbow of browns, greys and firey ginger.
Av got brown hair but strawberry baws.
Used to be a bit like that in my youth. Blond hair, bits of ginger in my beard.
All grey now, sadly.
Oi. I'm not a Scot and I have a ginger-ish beard.
Nah but those bloody freckles, when ever we get any sun whoosh freckles all over, I was a Ginger as a kid now its gray but still the freckles.
It used to be brown hair and a reddish beard. Now it's all grey :(
The most important question is what's the pubes situation. Can they be different colors as well?
Yes. It’s quite normal
We call them chingers
Doctor: "Good news madam, your baby's perfectly normal...
...
...
..
...
...
...
...
for now"
English here with a bit of Scot and Irish blood yeah dirty blonde hair and dark ginger beard.
Aye, a few copper strands in the beard
English but have the same affliction, and I can only grow a shit beard.
I've got dark brown hair, but it's not even my beard that's ginger (that's dark, with the odd grey cropping up), just the 'tache.
Guilty
Me. Hair is a sort of blondey mousey brown. Beard is ginger. I often get called a ginger, though the gingers don't agree with that. I walk both worlds, accepted by neither.
Not a Scot but from the English borders and fair hair on top, reddish beard. Well it was, I now look like I’m eating a grey squirrel.
Happens all over the world. Xabi Alonso for a start. Even Indians.
Few ginger hairs. Some white. Some gray. Mostly black
My brother has a ginger beard but brown hair. My hair is strawberry blond but my beard is darker usually with a slight tint of ginge
Ginger, brown, blonde and now some pure white!
My moustache is more ginger than the sideburns
Dark brown hair, ginger beard and jet black chest hair and pubes
Half Scottish here (my mum is the Scot)
She was a carrot when younger yet her twin was blonde,
I'm dark brown hair but mix of dark/light brown/ginger in beard also full of freckles lol
Only ginger pubes
I get a few ginger bristles
Oh, aye, have/had ginger hair everywhere but my heed, which is mostly still blond. The ginger bastards have been the first to turn grey as well.
I'm just covered in ginger
Apparently it’s a Celtic trait, from our forefathers.
Yep. Every woman in my family is ginger (sister, mum, gran, cousins etc). I have brown hair but a definite ginger streak in the beard that really shows in sunlight. Clearly u have the ginger gene but fortunately I have dodged the ginger bullet
My brothers mixed race (half Scottish, half African American) and he has flecks of ginger in his beard
Hate to break it to you both, but Scottish isn’t a race.
Races are a pretty bs concept anyway. And if you're going to be anal, "African American" isn't a race either
Not gonna disagree on any of that.
Alright fine, half white Scottish half African American then you extremely anal person
My beard goes a bit ginger when it's sunny. Which is irritating as you get all the ginger jokes without actually being ginger
Aye, that’s viking in you coming out
Opposite, i have dirty blonde hair with a red as fuck beard.
That's not opposite. That's what they asked lol.
No.
It's more white these days but aye only my beard is ginger
I have ginger, blond, brown and grey hairs in my beard.
