I am planning a kitchen remodel in my home.
Currently I have hard wood floors that need refinishing I also have granite countertop which I hope I can be kept (they are in Excellent condition and I understand are hard to source now because quartz is preferred due to costs )
with the floor I am thinking my options to refinish the hardwood or go to tile that would be a close match to the counter ? I’m think both would look nice but want to get others views

Options to get 10m3 of soil over the fence
The only access to the backyard is over this fence. What are my options on getting 10m3 of soli off the truck and to my backyard?
Dismantling both fences and building them back afterwards is one I can think of. What else? An excavator to shovel the soil off the truck and over the fence? Maybe some sort of conveyor belt can lift the load up?
Timber window restorationHELP
Hi all, can someone please ELI5 or link to a simple guide on how to restore timber windows that are about 30 years old? I’m currently sanding the windows - one at a time - so I can either stain and varnish, or paint. The windows are solid but have water damage and leak in extreme weather.
Do I need to silicone/re putty around the edges - both inside and out? And if so, what product should I use?
