|**01. Giveaways are for our subreddit only.**|Giveaways may only be hosted on our sub Random Acts of Gaming. Hosting the same giveaway on other sites or cross posting it to other subs is not allowed. Giveaway winners may only be selected from comments on the giveaway, no direct messages entries are allowed to win. Any advertising of off sub giveaways will result in ban for the user. The website, discord, etc. being advertised will be blocked and added to our shared block list permanently.|
|**02. No first come, first served giveaways.**|First come, first served giveaways are not allowed on our sub! All giveaways must be hosted for No less than 1 day. Winners must be named in the original post within 1 day of the giveaways end date. Some exceptions to this rule include large partner or moderator run events that require extra vetting. I you feel you have a giveaway similar to this, please notify the mod team prior to posting for approval.|
|**03. No private or direct message entries.**|Giveaway winners may only be selected from entrants who comment on the giveaway, no direct, private, or chat message entries are allowed to win a Random Acts of Gaming giveaway.|
|**04. Name a winner in your giveaway post.**|All giveaway winners must be named in your original giveaway post. After you edit your post with the name of your winner/s, change the flair to Giveaway Completed. If a moderator request proof that you followed through with a giveaway, you are required to show that additional information.|
|**05. You must meet these criteria to enter.**|Your account must be at least 30 days old and have a minimum of 300 comment karma to enter giveaways. This Karma must not be from giveaway or karma subs. Your karma must be obtained honestly through regular reddit participation.|
|**06. Winners can't sell or trade their gifts.**|You're not allowed to enter a giveaway for a game that you already own. Any items won on Random Acts of Gaming are non-transferable. Selling or trading any gifts won will earn you a permanent ban.|
|**07. Be honest, no alts or other cheating.**|Be honest, you are not allowed to enter a giveaway multiple times. Alt usage and any other forms of cheating, rigging, or exploitation of the sub and its users for an ill-gotten outcome will not be tolerated and will result in a permanent ban.|
|**08. Keep it selfless, no ref links, likes, etc.**|Be Humble and Selfless. Hosts we appreciate your contribution but using referral links or requiring likes & subscriptions to enter goes against the very nature of a selfless act and thus are severely frowned upon in a charitable/random kindness sub. Consequences for doing these things or anything like it will result in having your account banned.|
|**09. Don't brag, we don't tally giveaways.**|Don't brag, we don't tally giveaways here. Hosts we appreciate your many contributions but announcing it in the form of rounds or part numbers is bragging, intentional or not. If you would like some recognition, look into our flair system. Consequences for not following this rule include having your post removed, receiving a warning and or having your account banned. (There may be some exceptions, like Mod run events.)|
|**10. Be grateful, play the games you win.**|If you are lucky enough to receive an item, use it and let them know you appreciate what you got.|
|**11. No Requests or Game Trade Posts.**|Please use an appropriate subreddit for that.|

Shameless advertising isn't allowed.**|You are allowed a line at the end of your giveaway to tactfully describe and link your Artwork, Twitch stream, YouTube channel, Steam group, etc. This line is meant to be a throwaway line and not a significant portion of the content provided or an advert for outside giveaways or businesses. If you are unsure, please obtain Mod approval before posting. (There may be some exceptions.)|
|**14. No low effort self-serving accounts.**|Parasitic accounts or low effort self-serving accounts that fail to participate on reddit and are primarily used exclusively for entering giveaways are no longer allowed and should be reported.|

This could be for treating other members and staff poorly. Cheating, rigging, or exploiting loopholes in order to manipulate our sub or its members for an ill-gotten outcome.
