![TV Dinner for $16.70 each ?!?!?!?](https://preview.redd.it/3v8ab0yzmrnc1.jpeg?auto=webp&s=c66075cf4082dbf3c1f973a93939a97cf4b924c7)
This is one of the most ridiculously priced items I've ever seen on QVC. Who is paying $16 for a microwave dinner?

Microwaveable and seafood dont belong in the same sentence
I always say if you want a good laugh watch qvc and hsn. It’s ridiculous. 🤣🤣🤣
And I just know there’s not even a PINCH of seasoning on that!
Someone should call in and tell the presenters to kill themselves.
Okay, Stan.
Their food pricing is so ridiculous.
Microwaving shrimp just seems wrong to me.
FUCK QVC
It looks a step above gas station sushi. I can smell the food poisoning from here.
Have you seen how much factor meals are? Or other high quality frozen food? It's not garbage tv dinners
How much ARE factor meals? I can’t get a price until I give them my credit card info. That’s sketchy as hell
Idk how accurate, but that has a pricing list and the highest it goes is $13.50 per meal for 6 meals
ETA: I can testify that the food tastes good, even if you freeze and reheat it. Much better quality than supermarket frozen dinners, so at least it’s closer to restaurant quality for restaurant prices. And when the grocery store microwave meals are $3-4 already and absolute garbage, if you can afford double the price, you’ll get (probably, depending on the meal) twice as much and quality food
Yeah, fuck companies who make you give a cc and commit before telling you the price. I’m sick of it.
EWWWWWWW this looks nasty as hell
I think I can get 10 pounds of shrimp for $100
gross
What is that on the far left side of the plate? There's not even a sauce on it. Do you know how much of this you could make yourself for $100?! And if you go with easypay, they're making .02 on every order! Robbery!
Atkins makes a frozen meal that looks similar, tastes good, and is about $4
Prices for cakes/desserts are outrageous on QVC. Up to $85-even $90!! QVC is out of control.
I think they take advantage of elderly people! Their stuff is soooo marked up its ridiculous.
A lot is yes.
That looks nasty and microwaved shrimp is gross 🤢
Especially since shrimp is quite literally the easiest & quickest thing to cook.🤷♀️
Yeah, microwaved seafood is a hard pass for me.
I bet SOMEONE bought that overpriced crap.
When you have to put your dinner on layaway…
But it's Egg Harbor- the best seafood out there since it's part of the Rastelli's family, and the only seafood that matters- come on people it's a must buy, even if you have your own shrimp farm- this is better trust us!! (just in case you can't tell- this is using sarcasm!)
It doesn’t look appetizing at all, when you’re that close to the price it would be to have it cooked for me at a restaurant why would I be microwaving this clump of stuff instead…convenience? Yikes.
Applebees still has those 2 for $25 meals I think, or 2 for $30. Either way cheaper per meal than this, and at least you could sit in a restaurant while you eat and not have to wash a dish or spoon
I was thinking more at a sit down seafood spot where you would get a single dish comparable with fresh not frozen but when you put it that way casual dining had it beat anyways. If the texture isn’t enough, not having your home smell like microwaved shrimp is a big plus!
A sit down seafood place would be a lot more than this. Where I live this would cost at least $30 for one meal at a decent restaurant
Something like this would be around $20 where I live, but that definitely makes sense depending on where you are, $30 once I order my wine :)
This QVC thing comes out to $16.67 a meal so is a bit cheaper but I agree it's a different experience. Factor meals and other "healthy" shipped meals are similar prices and they're meant for people short on time who don't want to eat fast food
with what you're getting and the fact you can order ahead now from most places I think the major part of the discussion was the value not why things like this exist, but I get what you're saying.
QVC in the last 10 years have raised their prices and their items are not that good anymore. Shoot if you want to pay that much order from factor or hello fresh at least your food isn’t frozen.
Microwaved broccoli and shrimp. Can you imagine how it smells over there?? Those prices are wild.
I was actually thinking these may be good in an office where you hate your coworkers
Idk if the personal suffering is worth it lol have you ever microwaved broccoli? It’s one of the worst smells possible, smells like aggressive farts
Yum yum microwaved shrimp.
The prices are not outrageous when I consider if I ordered a takeout restaurant seafood meal to be delivered to my house it'd probably be similar cost.
But...I went to QVC and read the reviews ~ review after review were awful, describing rubbery shrimp, fishy smell, watery sauces, hard pasta! Certainly not worth it at.all.
But if I’m buying take out from the local fine cuisine restaurant it’s arriving prepped and cooked. Probably with bread and 2 sides.
This is just a frozen entry you have to heat up yourself.
Eating out or delivery is supposed to cost more than a tv dinner
lol so YES the prices are in fact outrageous given the food is disgusting and void of any quality.
I just ordered it. I can't believe I'm saving $10.02 from the QVC price. It's like eating for free!
I get my groceries from FreshDirect which is pricey and even their most expensive heat and eat (fresh, not frozen) dinner involving seafood does not approach this price.
At one point the OP was poking at it with her fork and it was obviously over-microwaved and all rubbery stuck together. She tried to pick up some of the linguini and it all lifted up. Then she slid it all into a serving platter and it stayed in the rectangle shape of the plastic container it was in. Said something like "looks so good!". So incredibly unappetizing!!!!
Old people will buy anything
You and your comment are a disease
Senior citizens are eligible for meals on wheels, which is free and arguably a lot more fresh and delicious than this fishy monstrosity
Actually a lot of senior citizens are on fixed incomes and can’t “buy anything.” I am a senior, and I resent the comment.
I’m old and haven’t shopped there in years
My grandma used to pride herself on being the crazy QVC lady. Whatever floats your boat right? Now she won't even buy from there and she regularly buys loads of crap and sends it to me because shopping addict in denial.
That says something to me. I'm not sure what, but it sounds important.
These are prices that would make darksydephil go further into debt. His mom will not be ordering these seafood meals for him.
But it’s got remarkable shrimp!
Their food prices are so unreasonable it’s ridiculous
Plus you have to buy six of them. I guess they'd be $25 at least if they sold singles.
Underrated comment.
Their food prices are insane.
I noticed that once when they were selling frozen Italian sandwiches. I almost fainted when I realized they were like $25 each sandwich!!
Are these for shut ins out in the country who can’t make it to a grocery store and need stocked food?
Those people can order delivery from the grocery store....
I’m honestly not sure. I’d say rich people who can’t cook but in reality those are the people who order takeout every night, not eat overpriced shitty frozen foods from the QVC. My mom is agoraphobic with mental health issues and I could imagine her needing that if she lived alone though, but that price is super high for disabled people so who knows?
That’s what easy pay is for!
Free shipping!!!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you easy pay for frozen dinners on QVC I’m not sure what advice I can even give you.
