Little head cannon about the Zombie plague

The Zombie virus ended because it froze and it's the Zombie virus scientist revived in our world

Hypothetically, what kind of dog would Fang be?

I'm trying to make an alternate reality Spear and Fang in a game. This game doesn't have dinos, so I'm turning to the next best companion animal. What kind of dog breed do you think best suits Fang?

S2E5 felt so out of place

In a series that has basically no dialogue and that mixes and blends basically all major time periods, it's so weird to set something in a definite era with, comparatively, a lot of dialogue. What are the implications? Like, if there's a definite timeline, when does the show take place? I'm currently in S2E8, so I'm not done with the show, but still, taking the focus out of Fang, Spear and Mira felt so nonsensical

What’s the deal with zero official merchandise?

The only time someone made spear and fang figures it was a fucking scammer. There isn’t even a shirt out there or anything. The closest thing is that vinyl soundtrack album.

Seriously, I want action figures or a Fang plush or something.

Spears D&D alignment

What would you say spears alignment is?

Analysis of Primal’s IMDB ratings

As you probably know, IMDb allows you to rate every episode of a show individually, what’s less known is that they weigh these averages. So there ends up being the “weighted mean” and “true mean”. Since the latter treats every review equally I’ll be using that one.

Here are the unweighted means for each episode:

Spear and fang 9.0

River of snakes 8.3

A cold death 8.7

Terror under the blood moon 8.8

Rage of the ape men 9.2

Scent of prey 8.8

Plague of madness 8.8

Coven of the damned 9.0

The night feeder 8.1

Slave of the scorpion 9.1

Sea of despair 8.4

Shadow of fate 9.1

Dawn of man 8.3

Red mist 9.3

Primal theory 7.8

Vidarr 8.7

Colossus 1 8.7

Colossus 2 8.7

Colossus 3 8.9

Echoes of eternity 7.7

Season 1 average 8.78

Season 2 average 8.56

Show average 8.67

I think the highest and lowest rated episodes aren’t very shocking given the discourse around them. And the average episode rating overall is almost the exact same as the overall IMDb rating of Primal (8.7) which is interesting.

I did also find it interesting that while the ratings for season 2 on average are lower, there isn’t as big of a gap as I thought there’d be.

Kamau vs The Unpaid Sleep Paralysis Demon(Viking Demon)

This is a topic that is very moot in nature, due to the fact that I could see Kamau pushing through the Viking Demons Mortal Kombat combos by hittin em wit a Francis Ngannous Four piece , in any event I feel as though Kamau should have been the individual to combat the Fire Demon with Spear as his aid.

The night feeder?

I watched episode 9 "the night feeder" and was wondering what the hell was killing all those animals? At the end you kind of see what it is when it's on fire and it looked to me like a Therizinosaur?

Was it just a viciously territorial Therizino? 🤔

Spear (base) vs King Kong 2005. Who wins

Distance: 30 ft away, no help from fang

Where can I watch primal? (for free)

I've only ever watched short cuts from YouTube and I'm aware it's on adultswim but I can't access it, any sites where I can watch it?

did anyone else think they were gonna pull a planet of the apes style reveal?

When i was watiching Primal i always got the feeling that thye were gonna reveal that their world used to be normal but then something happened that made the world the way it was. the Primal Theory episode really made me think that

Other franchises Primal style?

What other franchises do you think could be portrayed the same way Primal is? Here are my two cents:

-Doom. Gore, violence, horrifying monsters, a silent, musclebound, silent protagonist...

-Fallout. The series is nice, but a cartoon wouldn't have limitations, and how much time to you guys spend walking through the wastelands without uttering a word? Also violence and monsters.

-Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring. That is all.

-Berserk. Like Dark Souls, although the protagonist is a tad chattier.

-Mad Max. No monsters, and not as gory, but much more in the explosions department. Also, TV Tropes says Fury Road was originally supposed to be animated.

Primal Season 3 Ideas

I'm a fan of Primal but I cannot wait for Season 3 to come out. I know that Season 3 is an anthology, so here are some of my ideas.

  1. Fantasy races: Overall, there should be angels, centaurs, dwarves, elves, goblins, harpies, gnomes, hobbits, merfolk, and trolls in Primal. The orcs should be Blizzard style orcs. The goblins should be a proud merchant race with a unique gift for managing anyone's money and being masters of technology. The dwarves should be more technologically minded than other fantasy races, verging on and overtaking steampunk.
  2. Full English voice acting: I suppose that Amanda Celline Miller, Amanda Winn-Lee, Ben Diskin, Bret Iwan, Chris Diamantopoulos, Christine Marie Cabanos, Cristina Venezuela, Dee Bradley Baker, Frank Welker, James Arnold Taylor, JB Blanc, Jeff Bennett, Jim Cummings, Kevin Michael Richardson, Matt Stone, Matthew Mercer, Peter Cullen, Phil LaMarr, Sean Chiplock, Tabitha St. Germain, Tara Strong, Trey Parker, Wendee Lee, and Yuri Lowenthal should voice many of the fantasy creatures and many humans in fully English.
  3. Anthology episodes: Overall, the episodes should focus on many other humans and the fantasy races. One of them could include a group of orcs facing against the demigod of Hell and killing him.

I hope that you think about these ideas!

Mira's Tribe - Acceptance of escaped slaves

Mira returned to her tribe once freed from slavery...but there was a sort of hesitation to accepting her, no? Then her muscle appears & they're like, "Oh hey you're back! Good to see you."

Reminded me of Boko Haram kidnapping the 600 young girls & teens. A lot of them were not being accepted back home when returned after having been raped & some being obviously pregnant.

Did anyone have any thoughts on that little glimpse into her tribe or am I interpreting it incorrectly & they were actually just terrified of the initial show of force?

Why was Eldarr in Hell anyways?

Aside from the obvious answer being he was a piece of shit like his father.

Chieftain almost went to Valhalla, but his son went to Hell in spite both dying in battle, the son dying even more directly than the chieftain did.

So I guess the better question is: Why did the Chieftain get a chance for Valhalla while his son didn’t?

Season 2 FinaleSpoiler

In the Season 2 Finale, even though Chieftain does kill Spear, I read on TV Tropes that Spear was never actually defeated. Thinking about it, it kinda makes sense as Spear goes down giving the fight to the empowered Chieftain, saving Fang (whom the Chieftain also wanted revenge on), her babies, and Mira. The Chieftain was sent back to Hell where he'll be a slave (karmic irony for him) for all eternity, denying him a chance to go to Valhalla and see his family again. While Spear dies, his legacy lives on thanks to Mira conceiving their daughter, and Fang not only lives, but gets to see her children grow up and will ensure Spear's daughter will be protected in his honor.
