I said the same thing about the Lou Lou scene. They'll let the mothers slide but are dead set on killing the fathers legacy. It ruins the writing. Either have the father be soft from the beginning and make it make sense or keep him strong all the way through. Having Lorenzo run the shots in S2 to him being yelled at by Monet and treated worthless S3 ep. 1 was crazy.
Nah chill, Raq a G, that’s why that scene was great. Like if Monet tried to do that shit to Cane or to Lorenzo it would not have been seen as great because Monet is no lioness. Raq is a lioness to her core, and she run shit like a lioness, so when she roars you can feel that shit because she’s real af. Even when she’s in the wrong she still a G all the way to her soul.
I get you though there are many male characters being emasculated too much in the media, and a lot of it happened in the power series too, but Raq is on her own level and should be judged on that level. When she’s tearing any one apart it’s more about power and hierarchy than about just emasculating guys in her path. Lou is no Lion, neither is Marvin.
