We need to stop sleeping at the wheel. This is just embarrassing now
It’s not the damn party’s fault. Democrats told voters over and over that 2016 was the Supreme Court election.
I kind of hate this narrative that it’s the voters’ fault though, because Hillary Clinton got nearly 3 million more votes than Trump did in that election. Forgive me, but the voters did their part.
Were they supposed to have uprooted their lives, moved to a battleground state, and registered to vote there just to offset the insanity of electoral college? That’s just dumb. Point the finger where it belongs, dammit.
EDIT: Just to give you an idea of how much damage electoral college has done, Republican nominees have lost the popular vote in 6 out of the last 7 presidential elections, but the Supreme Court still represents a 6-3 Republican majority. What the hell are we doing?
Even if the electoral college is awful, they clearly didn't turn out in the states that mattered.
Not necessarily. This what gerrymandering does.
Gerrymandering doesn't affect a presidential election, it only affects State and US House reps.
You can’t gerrymander an entire state. People in a swing state still have a responsibility to vote correctly. The fact that they couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Hillary back in 2016 was a remarkable demonstration of a lack of forward thinking on the part of many voters.
Maybe the party should have campaigned more in the "fly-over" states in 2016.
- Michigan - voted for Democratic president in seven of the eight last elections.
- Wisconsin - voted for Democratic president in eight of the last nine elections.
- Pennsylvania - voted for Democratic president in seven of the eight last elections.
HRC lost these three states. It was a mistake to nominate her, and she ran a terrible campaign. Yet somehow, it's not her fault, it's the voters fault?

The voters are the ones who nominated her. If you're blaming her, you're blaming the voters.
The DNC rigged the primary with the weakest field in 50 years, and actively worked against Sanders.
Oh please, not this shit again. Hillary got millions more votes than Bernie did. The DNC doesn't have a magic ray that controls the brains of voters. Unless by "rigged" you mean they "said mean things about him in private emails." Which, if he couldn't survive that, how would he ever face a general election against the GOP attack machine (which he never faced).
Claiming that the elections were "rigged” is such a MAGA thing to do. Exactly the kind of propaganda the Kremlin wants us to think. It’s a trick.
Exactly. It was the Kremlin that hacked the DNC servers (at the pubic request of Trump). And then they laundered that through right-wing sources and various pro-Bernie accounts, many of them completly fake and set up for this purpose. So by the time it disseminated into the actual organic left, people ignored the origin of it and bought the narrative that there was some kind of bombshell in there that "stole" the election. There wasn't, of course. It was just DNC staffers making snarky comments about Bernie and calling him irritating.
If you try to nail someone down on how they stole the election, they'll just wave their hand at the emails and say "it's all there," when no. There's nothing there.

Lmao, has this bot been going for 8 years?
she ran a terrible campaign
Which is what scares me to death with Biden's campaigning or lack thereof so far. We all pretty much agree that HRC ran a terrible campaign (which Fox News and the usual suspects took full advantage of) and lost. Can Biden run a terrible campaign (so far, refer to the first debate) against an admittedly terrible opponent and win? Here's hoping.
