Hello, trying to stay more than 59 days in the philippines and wanted to process my ACR card. Can my wife accompany me inside the immigration office to prevent any language barrier and scams maybe? Or do I have to do it alone?
She should be able to enter with you, every immigration offices make their own rules so maybe you will find some that doesn't allow her to go with you, but in my experience my girlfriend has been able to come with me and do all the process with me. The 2 month extension plus the ACR card cost around 8500 pesos last time I did it (October last year)
Also if you are in the Manila area, I highly recommend you to do this specific extension in the Headquarters in Intramuros, cause there you will get your ACR card the same day, unlike in the other offices where it takes around 1 week and you have to come back to pick it up, plus if you are staying for a long period of time only there in Intramuros you can get a 6 month extension.
I just let my card sit in their office until I had to extend again, and picked it up then. 🤷♂️
Yes totally!! Thanks great addition, I did the same thing when I got mine so it's a very good option. But if at the time I would have know that I could get 6 month extension and my ACR card the same day in Manila, I would have just go there in the first place, because I'm staying in an island without BI offices, so I wouldn't like to be traveling every 2 months to extend my visa (Online doesn't work with me and immigration couldn't solve it).
Good PH life hack!
