Please help is it worth it to buy him to save or is he sick?
Looks sick to me
He does appear sick. With a proper vet visit and some medication he could get better. I purchased a sick parakeet myself and took her to the vet. Within a few days of taking the medicine she was feeling better. I have zero regrets.
We couldn’t resist and took him home. He is not puffed up anymore. How stopped puffin when he got into the cage alone. Is it possible the other birds were just stressing him out?
Have you checked your birds weight? You need to make sure he’s eating. Check his poop as well. You can learn a lot about a birds health through their poop. As far as if the others birds stressing him out being the cause of the puffiness I can’t really answer that. The only time I’ve seen my birds puff up like that is when they were either not feeling well. Keep a close eye on him. A vet visit couldn’t hurt just to make sure all is good.
i want to say that is possible.. maybe not the other birds just the environment in general since a few other people noted that it doesn’t look great. birds are REALLY REALLY good at hiding their illnesses due to being prey animals. he does look like he might have a little bit of a tail bob going too-.. is that accurate?? is he doing that on other perches too?? if he has a tail bob PLEASE get him to the vet ASAP. it is an indication of a breathing or respiratory problem and it means he is not breathing properly. thank you for taking this sweet baby home❤️ i know what everyone says about not supporting those business.. but i couldn’t just do nothing if I saw a sick bird like that too.
Probably something in the water or food it ate or probably blockage in its internals
It may have been the environment. I have 4 babies of my own & one thing I learned very early on is that they will pick up on energy very fast& they don’t miss nothing lol. I pray your new baby settles in to his new home & his new family very soon . Good luck 😊
Buy and save him. Take him to the vet.
Looks like its sick. You do not know if he has something that could spread to the other birds. Aside from that, they do not seem to be kept properly at all, the cage seems way to small, they are on a seed diet and only have unhealthy perches as it seems. Whoever sells them obviously does not take proper care of their birds so it would be wisely to not support them with your money.
