Trail Angel, water stand

Thanks for helping out! Typically folks don't set up a table with water bottles... instead they leave giant jugs of water (like water cooler style) at cache points, which are maintained by trail angels, who take away the empties and any litter left by less thoughtful hikers.

I would check the app Farout for information on the current cache points and see where there's a long dry stretch combined with public road access. Maybe current hikers can say where the long stretches are this year, but we're just heading into the dry season.

Indian canyon trailhead is a common spot for trail angels -

you could also go to Vasquez rocks

basically anywhere where the trail meets a road would be a fine spot

water is great but please consider also bringing Beer, Candy or Chips, and a few of those folding Camping Chairs, if you'll be there for a while. Hopefully in a bit of shade. I am not on the trail this year, but I remember those things being A-OK.
