Just started my first dose today. Not been able to eat anything part from like a few grapes. Just tried to eat my dinner which was a burger had 3 bites and was sick instantly. Is this normal. All day since I took it around 10:00am I’ve felt like I’m going to throw up. I’m scared please people tell if I’m going to be okay? My dose was 0.1ml
The compounded versions of Semaglutide are usually 2.5mg/ml. Is that what it says on your vial? If so, 0.1ml x 2.5mg/ml = 0.25mg. If you’re still feeling sick tomorrow then maybe only take 0.05ml next week and see if you can tolerate the lower dose better?
I take before bedtime. My theory is I will sleep thru any side effects. Also, be careful with food choices. The hamburger might have been too fatty/greasy.
Has this been working for you? I might try do the same
I have been a lucky one with limited side effects. I don't know if the nighttime shot is helping but I don't get sick after the injection.
you are going to be fine. don't panic. be prepared to make adjustments as you identify issues or concerns along the way.
did you eat heavily in the day or so before your first injection or did you eat lightly for a day or two?
take your injection before bed - the day before your day(s) off.
plan on having your larger meals for breakfast and lunch and eat lighter at dinnertime. you don't want the food sitting in your belly due to delayed digestion caused by the medication...or you will get bad acid reflux if you lay down too soon on a full belly.
also check the fat content of your burger. the best to eat is 93-95% lean beef. some burgers can go as low as 70% lean which means fatty. too much fat = vomiting and/or diarrhea....or discomfort.
make sure you are getting 80-100 grams of lean protein daily. consider scrambled eggs with cheese and diced ham for breakfast with some fresh fruit, a snack of greek yogurt, skinless chicken breast in a salad or with steamed veggies for lunch, something light for dinner. red meat is not light as it takes longer to digest.
be prepared to pop a Prilosec (omeprazole) every morning - it will help with the acid reflux that may make it feel like you will vomit.
make sure you drink at least 2 quarts of water daily. If you are dragging - have an electrolyte beverage too.
this medication is life altering....and when you can work out your food intake - you will be thrilled with the results. i've been here for 60 weeks and am down 63 pounds - with another 35 to lose. every part of my body looks and feels better - my A1c is no longer prediabetic and my cholesterol and triglycerides are great now too.
know your BMR and TDEE and make sure you eat at a calorie deficit.
if you don't eat enough food - you can get sick too - so you have to try to sort out your food intake as soon as possible to stabilize your belly.
You are so right don’t know what I was thinking trying to eat a burger 😂. Of course I was sick. Eating light healthy
ITS WORKING congrats, that’s gets better!
Thank you
Well, I think OZ is telling you to fast for a couple of days. Let the autophagy (self eating) kick in and watch the pounds melt. You’ll be fine.
If you need to split your doses on your pens, get extra needles from HelloPip.com (no prescription needed):

I did feel this sick for quite sometime but riding it out was worth it. You’ll be okay but be sure to stay hydrated. I developed a severe kidney infection early on that my doctor felt was related to these same symptoms. Your doctor is the best one to advise you on this.
Thank you to all you lovely people who have taken the time to reply to me! I felt sick on day 1 as mentioned. Next day which was yesterday I felt so much better! The suck feeling had gone. Managed to eat some fruit and abit of salmon and a boiled egg, feel normal today. Think I’m going to stick with my dosage I can handle feeling sick for one day of the week. Can’t wait to see results.
If my math is right, which it very well may not be, .25mg is .025ml, which would mean you took the equivalent of 1.0mg semaglutide. Ideally, you should start with .25mg/.025ml and increase every 4 weeks (or as your doctor recommends).
I recommend that you speak to your prescribing doctor about lowering your dose for next week, and also search this sub for some unpleasant side effects you may or may not experience by starting with such a high dose.
I'm wishing you a smooth week!
