(Gold 3) I am a rein main and predictably struggle vs Orisa. I’ve been looking for ways to counter her, and have come across two options: Zarya and Winston.
But I was just playing a match on King’s Row, and on round 4 offense, I went Sigma because I knew they would go Orisa Bastion Reaper. I knew between the bastion and reaper I wouldn’t have enough bubbles to mitigate all the burst dps, so I thought sigma would be a good choice. Rock for reaper engages, succ for bastion turret, and try to cut reaper off from his team with my shield.
Is Sigma a good matchup vs Orisa? How do you play the matchup?
Orisa falls apart under focus without healing, so use your shield to cut her off from her supports when she goes aggro. In turn, put pressure on the rest of her team, esp supports, when they leave cover to try to heal her around your shield. Avoid getting your shield broken and retract it on low hp, so you can maximise its overall uptime.
