Newbie gardener & homeowner here. We moved into our home in 2022 and are starting to work on landscaping with an exclusive focus on native plants. We have a mostly wooded acre plot with lots of variety including a stream and bog area that unfortunately has a lot of invasive reeds that I want to replace with natives. Since I know Phragmites are hard to kill, I'm wondering what I might be able to plant in their place that will compete? We're also shrinking our lawn by at least 30% (No HOA thankfully). Any recs for you may have for native plantings suited for wet areas would be much appreciated - especially anything that grows aggressively to replace those invasive reeds. Thanks in advance!
