Dispersed camping in Uwharrie National Forest - northern Dutchman's Creek

There are about 4 sites along the creek. Really depends on group size. At least one is fairly substantial in size, the first eastbound across the creek.

I noticed a lot of campsites AFTER lick mountain all around the creek where the trail runs along it.

There is a great campsite between Lick Mountain and Yates. It’s basically a peninsula with the creek surrounding it on 3 sides. Space for multiple tents. There is also a fire pit. I’ve stayed there a couple times in a hammock. There’s also another one very close if you need more space. In my opinion it’s the best site in all of UNF.
