Is this deal worth snagging if I want to start utilizing the M18 line?
Purchase AdviceYep, I should have added this is just for DIY stuff around the house! Framing some walls, building garden beds, etc
Then you're more than good with this kit!!
Oooh, framing! That means you might want to get a nailer! I’ve been wanting to get one for DIY, but maybe someday… 😅
Just got the straight finish nailer 16 gauge this weekend.... it's a beast.

There’s kits that include a circular saw which you’d probably want for framing
i do already have a makita circular saw that I really like.
Depends what you’re using it for. I drive lags and few things like that. It’s perfect. Keeps my driver from being burned out and drives stuff like that easily.
I’m contractor and had the same non fuel version 10 tool kit. Works fine if you don’t abuse tools. Would I prefer fuel version and essentially must have it for some tools, yes. They certainly get the job done though.
I agree with this
I use this line as a property manager. Does the jobs I can do, but i've never seen a vendor use them. Idk how they would hold up for long term, continuous work.
Imo no. As a carpenter I prefer the worm drive and surge *
Surge is absolutely fantastic, not enough people talk about it.
It's my first foray into milwaukee and I'm still beating the shit out of my impact and hammer drill... though, 5 yrs in... the drill is sounding more and more like giving up the ghost sooo... you know what that means loll
I got the same thing exactly with 2 batteries and a charger vs 4 and it was only $349. Are batteries that expensive?
I would. That drill doesn’t suck, that grinder doesn’t suck, that Hackzall must be decent, I see a ton of guys still using it still.
No. Bad deal. Buy m12 fuel as homeowner. Drill, impact driver, hackzall, multitool. Framing walls and building garden beds don’t need an impact wrench or grinder
Don’t expect anything from the 1/2” high torque. It has 350 lbft of torque compared to to the current 2967-20’s 1,500 lbft. The rest is usable, mostly just slower/less powerful than the Fuel line. Be good for around the house but I wouldn’t if I were a contractor of any type.
